I've not read Max Einstein ... but seeing the book evokes wonderful memories of a series of books I read as a child: The Marvelous Inventions Of Alvin Fernald, by Clifford B. Hicks. If you can find any of his books in a library or online... I encourage you to do so!

This was a delightful beginning to a new series. The Genius Experiment embraces science and Albert Einstein along with all the brilliant and compassionate things he stood for, while also tacking timely issues like female empowerment, climate change and what it means to be a compassionate human. But don't worry, while the topics addressed in the book are important and serious, Max and her diverse and equally brilliant friends implement their madcap plans with age-appropriate humor and excitement. My inner tween felt that same rush I used to get reading Harriet the Spy, Trixie Beldon, and Nancy Drew. You're going to love this one.

I got this book for my 8 yr old daughter. I didn’t expect much from a kids book. But I was pleasantly surprised by the story and how it intertwined Dr. Einstein and his scientific work into this book. It’s a pleasure to read.
