The "Mary Reads" series is an early reader designed to help children learn to read and recognize sight words. Each book in the series has two main parts, flashcards and a story book. The flashcards are presented in a colorful and fun way. The Mary character gives helpful hints along the way. At the end of the practice words, there is a fun story using sight words learned from the flashcards. Each book in the series builds upon the previous one. For example, the story in 1st Grade-3 uses words learned in First Grade-1 and First Grade-2. Your child will love learning to read with "Mary Reads." *Please note: There are several levels of Mary Reads Sight Word Books, Kindergarten 1, 2, 3, 4; 1st Grade 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, etc.

The "helpful hints" throughout the book are designed to be read first with an adult to ensure the child understands each word concept correctly. After first reading this together, your child will feel confident practicing on their own.
