Overview

In a rich embroidery of visions, musical cadence, and deep emotion, Andrea and Brian Pinkney convey the final months of Martin Luther King's life -- and of his assassination -- through metaphor, spirituality, and multilayers of meaning.

Andrea's stunning poetic requiem, illustrated with Brian's lyrical and colorful artwork, brings a fresh perspective to Martin Luther King, the Gandhi-like, peace-loving activist whose dream of equality -- and whose courage to make it happen -- changed the course of American history. And even in his death, he continues to transform and inspire all of us who share his dream.

Wonderful classroom plays of Martin Rising can be performed by using the "Now Is the Time" history and the 1968 timeline at the back of the book as narration -- and adding selected poems to tell the story!

Martin Luther king should have also said this in every speech: I guess he did not as he will lose his status as a leader of the poor american Blacks: "I have a Rolex gold wrist watch, and that my brothers has a price tag of over $million" Where does he get so much money? He is fighting for the oppressed poor in AMerica. Gift! So I guess it pays to be a leader. I don't know what watch Nelson MAndela is wearing. ButI do know now the million dollar watches the so called politicians on modest salary are wearing. These guys are in politics because for all these luxury goods. Only the immorals get selected for this fake leadership role by their shadow bosses. Who these Bosses are we all know are in CIA, State department, Saudi royal family and Her Majesty. Then you have their ever protective 'watch dogs; the FBI's the most despicable unit run by abominable humans with no shame in telling lies. This group definitely owns AMerica. million dollar per piece wrist Watches of other so called leaders: Tag HEUER :Barrack Husein Mobama Cartier JFK PANERAI: Bill CLinton All these watches have dollar million price tags. so these 'free for leaders' of the free world obviously are wearing a couple of these selected models brands. one for each day of the week, if not for each day of the year like Imelda macros the dacoit leaders of Philippines. Therefore discussion of Kings rights activism has no meaning. . Martin luther king jr if he alive today surely 1 bilion likes on instagram with Rolex watch it is all aboout History
