I love this series! I enjoyed these books when I was young, and I really enjoyed reading it again. The pages are colorful, and are full of pictures, notes, and dialog between characters. The best part about this story was, of course, the mistakes that Ms. Frizzle and the gang encounter on their science excursions. However, the reader cannot escape the facts that he or she is presented with: the author/creator depicts science information (in this book, beehives and bees) in a creative, interesting way. The vocabulary is pretty easy for young elementary students to hear, but reading some of the words might cause some problems for them. I think that any elementary student (k-8) would be able to gain some knowledge in an enjoyable way. Overall, I would recommend this book to youngsters.

Mrs. Frizzle takes the children on an adventure to a beehive. The students shrink down to the size of bees. They go into a beehive and throughout the story learn intresting facts about bees. This story is great book to bring children on a mini adventure in the classroom. Many students can receive a lot of information reading this book about bees.

Mrs. Frizzle turns her class into bees so that they can explore a beehive from the inside (of course). The kids learn everything about bees, how they work together, how they live and swarm, etc. The beehive is even attacked by a bear. A little disturbing, but at least they become kids again at the end.
