This third volume had a longer plot-line concerning Mal's and Molly's unintended picnic-turned-adventure, while the other girls try to get 'normal' badges. Also, it is directly acknowledged that the former two are dating, and gives us backstory about Mal and Molly's lives. Meanwhile, April's competitiveness, and Jo's single-mindedness mean they don't really earn badges, but surprise surprise Riley gets them for sheer effort. The artist was different this time around, and I do like the style, even if it felt unfamiliar (when did I get used to the older one?) The special Halloween issue was fun but the different art styles were a bit jarring. All in all, another entertaining installment.
