From New York Times bestselling author Penelope Ward, comes a new, sexy standalone novel.

We met in the least likely of places. It started out innocently enough. I was "ScreenGod" and she was "Montana," but of course, those weren't our actual names, just the virtual cloaks we hid behind.

Logging in at night and talking to her was my escape-my sanctuary.

Her real name was Eden, I'd soon come to find out.

From the first time we connected online, I found myself transfixed.

She was an addiction.

At first, we knew nothing about each other's real identities...and she was adamant that we keep things that way. Anonymity had no effect on our unstoppable chemistry, though. If anything, it allowed us to open up even more in ways we may not have otherwise.

Eden was funny, intelligent, gorgeous-everything I'd ever wanted in a woman.

But I couldn't really have her.

I had accepted things would have to stay the way they were-until the day I found a clue that led me straight to her.

So I took a chance.

And that was when our love story really began.

The title says it all this is a love story about a couple who meet online but don’t be fooled this is no dating site this is one sizzling hot read and once again in true Penelope Ward fashion we get a book that captivates and entertains us with yet another adorable couple. Ryder and Eden meet online he can see her but she has no idea what he looks like but that doesn’t stop her falling for the man who loves to chat but this relationship was always going to be bumpy there was always going to be some hurdles to cross and once you add in the reason Eden is online in the first place your heart will skip some beats as you see just how generous Ryder can be with his love and affection....... I really don’t want to give too much of the story away all I’m going to say is I fell big time for Ryder and Eden was just perfect for him this book had me feeling warm and tender it had me swooning and it had me giggling at the witty banter between a couple with sizzling chemistry. This was a fantastic must read book.

@KindleCrack fell in love with Love Online by @PenelopeWard. This sexy, feel-good romance is equal parts heartwarming and intoxicating. My heart and my ovaries are exploding from this book. I’m away on vacation right now as I’m writing this mini review. I wanted to tear through this book, like high-speed internet fast. I couldn’t do it. I thought maybe it’s because I’m site-seeing here in Iceland. Here I am looking at glaciers and Viking-esque men and wanted more Ryder and Eden. I savored this book and took my time devouring every page. This book was exhilarating. Wow, I used exhilarating to describe a book. I never thought that would happen, but it did. I’m bouncing off the walls from this utterly addicting cyber romance. If you don’t think falling in love online is a reality, wait until you read Ryder and Eden’s story. I fell in love with these virtual characters. I’m still grinning like a loon after reading this sweet and sexy cyber affair of the heart. One-click this book now! Love Online will be on my Best of 2018 book list!

4.5 stars — OK, wow, this book went in places I wasn’t anticipating at all. And while I don’t want to spoil things, I will warn that if you have problems with people in porn or the sex industry, then you should steer clear. So while I was surprised what subjects this book tackled, I found it really fascinating and thought-provoking. I doubt I was supposed to, at least to the degree which I was, but I think women who work in…shall we say “less savoury” professions are so often judged without looking deeper. And what’s strange is that a lot of romance books I’ve read have helped me to consider the reasons women might seek these jobs out, besides the obvious of enjoying it (or the common thought that they were forced or coerced). It’s a strange world we live in where sex really does bring in the money. And while that’s kind of a shame, I like how books I’ve read have helped me not to judge the *people* in those industries (well, the ones on the bottom, not necessarily the ones at the top who exploit). What I appreciated about this one was that we didn’t really get into the industry at all, it was just an aspect of Eden’s character. Instead we got to see the role it would play in a love story…which is, I suppose, the part that I found fascinating. Ryder was not what I was expecting at all. I truly felt how lost he was when the book started, and how lonely. And while I’m not really a fan of mentioning some “secret” (about how his previous relationship ended) and then not telling the reader, I tolerated it in this book. I was worried about what the secret was going to be, but it was interesting in and of itself and added a new dimension to Ryder. Through him we also got a realistic view on grief as well. The thing that got me about Ryder is that he was this interesting mix of jealous/possessive with understanding/compassion. I loved that his compassion for Eden’s situation meant that his jealousy didn’t go out of control. It, again, felt very realistic. Because it would be hard to turn off those feelings, even as you understood the circumstances. He was just such an interesting hero for me, because he didn’t fall into any of the usual hero traps. He was a rich, powerful guy, but he was still struggling with what he wanted to do with his life. He loved his parents, and struggled with making his father proud. He was just way more humble and down to earth than I was expecting. He surprised me in the best ways. I felt a bit more in tune with who Eden was going to be, and I loved that she was sweet, caring, and while she had her insecurities, we got to see her struggle to not let them overrun her emotions. She had her own balancing act between her fears and her desires. While I really liked Eden, I didn’t connect with her as strongly as I connected with Ryder, and I’m not sure why…truly. *shrugs* It happens I guess. She had her own “secret” that was kept from the readers, and while I had guesses to what it was, it was actually more intricate than I was anticipating. I loved the way Ryder and Eden’s love story progressed, from their first interactions right to the end. I LOVED that the relationship wasn’t sexual at first, but that they got to know each other. I loved that they found they could share their true selves with each other. Basically their connection felt real to me, and I appreciated that it wasn’t a rush to the bedroom, despite how they met. But worry not, their steamy scenes were worth waiting for (in m

It was the perfect book...sweet, sexy, romantic, and funny. No one had issues, no one was a diva, there was no drama. It was about 2 people who didn't realize how lonely they were until they found each other. I've read stories before about 2 normal people living their normal lives, and those stories bore me to death. But this one was different, it pulled at my heart the entire time. I highly recommend it!!!

Love Online could be many things; a song, a movie, a dating site, a romance blog or a song title. For the purposes of this review, it is a book title, but what does it really mean? Did someone go online specifically to find a date, companionship or to be a voyeur to another person’s life? Can you really trust anyone you meet online or is it exciting to not really know who you are talking to? Ryder could have any woman he wanted but he was bored with the shallow and money hungry gold diggers who latch onto him at parties and social events. He wanted to meet someone that didn’t know anything about him, his job or his family. He yearned for an honest relationship based on common interests and an instant attraction He found that and more when he sat down one night, turned on his laptop, and looked at the screen. Eden never expected to meet a nice guy online because they really didn’t exist. They love you and leave you with a broken heart which affects not only you, but the people close to you. She enjoyed listening to Ryder’s sexy voice and she felt connected to him right away. She looked forward to their nightly conversations as they got to know each other the best they could over the cyber universe. After they would say goodbye and log off, she would lie in bed and dream about the life she could never have with Ryder. It was beautiful, loving and everything she hoped it would be, but it was only a dream. What is the clue that takes Ryder in search of Eden, and what does he find when he gets there? I was so excited about this book that I had to read it all in one night and I wasn’t disappointed. Penelope Ward has given us a magical story about two people who met in an unconventional way who deserved to be loved and cherished. Their story is sensual, intense and deeply moving and I felt as if I was there with them on their journey.I could continue listing all the wonderful things about “Love Online” but the important thing is that once you read it, you will never forget it.

This was a wonderful, hard to put down book of 217 nook pages. The characters are so easy to relate to and the little bit of humor was a wonderful touch. This story is filled with steamy loving, two lonely people who find each other in a off chance way, a little heart break, a bit of conflict and just one story you do not want to miss. Loved Ollie!! I truly liked that when issues came up between the characters it was not pages and pages later to resolve the misunderstanding(s). They flowed smoothly, an quickly so you don't feel like one chapter is on going. Or that you have the urge to reach thru the book strangle the character and tell them to get over it ; ) This story, as well as many others of Penelope Ward's work is a must read. Also her co-writting with Vi Keeland ( and Vi's own books) are all worth a read!! So I highly recommend any of these two authors books!****

Love Online by Penelope Ward is yet another stellar example of this authors amazing story telling skills. A quirky and cheeky romance that is original, funny, emotional, angst-ridden, and full of sexual chemistry and tension. Eden and Ryder's story was epic! Ryder is the son of a business owner in the movie industry, and by successful, we are talking millions, money is no object, and everyone wants something from him. disenchanted with his life, bored with the soul-suckers that hover around him on the daily, he escapes into an online porn site cam-girl's room. One "Montana Lane" and her violin playing profile picture do more to pique his interest in one minute than anyone else has in months and months. Eden, AKA Montana Lane, has her own very important reasons for being a cam-girl. She needs the money and has no other options available that would pay as good. When "ScreenGod90" makes an appearance the tables turn, she is not just performing for this faceless voice, she is enjoying his company and looks forward to their time together. When he finally puts a face to the profile and voice, well, he's more beautiful than she ever expected and their bond grows even quicker. But that doesn't change the fact that states separate them. That she cannot move away from her family home. That this was doomed before it even began. Can two people from two completely different backgrounds and current lifestyles stand a chance at making their love for each other work or is it just to much to expect from a love found online? Enjoy!

Penelope Ward never fails to deliver a MUST read. Her heartwarming storylines are fun, witty, and full of angst. They are the kind of stories that leave you with a cheesy smile. Her characters are all heart. Love Online was no different, yet uniquely it's own. I loved it! Love Online is a make-you-feel-good kind of read. It's sweet, it's sexy, and full of heart. Ryder and Eden's story is a bit unconventional, but it has all the feels I have come to LOVE from a Penelope Ward novel. This author never disappoints! She continues to create such heart felt storylines and endearing characters. Characters that sick with you long after their story is finished. I adored Ryder. Despite how hot the cover model is (Isn't that man beyond gorgeous?!), I couldn't help but imagine Scott Eastwood as Ryder. There was just something about the way the author described him that immediately led me to that imagery of Scott. I have to say... I enjoyed it! Ryder is one of the good guys. The kind of guy every girl can only hope to be lucky enough to meet. He will pull at your heart strings and captivate you with his charm. Eden was lovely. Her free spirit and strength is a breath of fresh air. Her life is complicated and full of responsibilities, but when she meets Ryder, all she can think of is the girl she wants to be. It's kind of comical how these two meet, but when they do, the sexual tension between them is off the charts. Love Online may be Penelope Ward's most naughty book yet! If you are looking for a sweet, sexy read with a storyline that will wrap around your heart and a hero and heroine that will remind you why you read romance novels, read Love Online. It is another amazing story by this brilliant author. ♥ Review by Lys

I definitely recommend this super sexy book that will leave you feeling all warm and fuzzy!!

Heading into Love Online, I really didn’t know what to expect; the blurb didn’t give too much away, so as Ryder’s side of the story began, I didn’t anticipate the true nature of Ryder and Eden’s online ‘relationship,’ and while I feel like that was Penelope Ward’s intention, it took me awhile to wrap my head around how this cam girl and cam john were connecting, and even after their feelings began to turn into something real, the screen was not the best way to explore what was developing between them, especially given the nature of Eden’s online persona and the transactions and interactions that Ryder had to endure as he watched his online lady do what she had to do in order to provide for herself and a very important little boy who needed her in all ways possible. But, as Eden’s perspective became a part of the story line, I was able to understand the reasons behind her actions, especially after Ward introduced readers to Ollie and illustrated how amazing he is and the assistance that he needs. Eden’s life is so much different than Ryder’s life is and that therein lies the problem…how Ryder and Eden make something work between them despite their differences in lifestyles and locations, keeping in mind that the decisions they make not only impact them but a 10 year old boy who is desperate to feel loved and have a family. Ollie and Lorena, a constant presence in Ryder’s life since he was little, played pivotal roles in helping this couple find their way, not only to love but also to how they truly wanted to live their lives, and I appreciated the fact that the major conflict was not really another person but where they lived and why it needed to be that way. Those obstacles that stood in their way were realistically portrayed given the reality of what made up Ryder and Eden’s lives and the fact that they didn’t make decisions without really thinking things through speaks to the type of people they are and what they’re willing to do for love. Love Online’s storyline is definitely a unique take on what kind of relationships develop through the World Wide Web; I’ve read a few other stories that provide insight into the type of profession a cam girl has and what her interactions with her viewers/customers entail, but Ryder and Eden’s story takes things even further because they meet in real life and as readers witness the development of the hero and the heroine’s relationship, the way things evolve speaks to just how real it’s been between them from the very beginning. 4.5 Poison Apples

Clear your schedules... Love Online is yet another 'One Sitting Read'. As much as I tried to slow down and savor it, I devoured it in the matter of a few hours. P. Ward not only brings us another swoon worthy male lead but also a strong and independent female lead that many books in this genre continue to lack. The characters are so well developed that when they finally meet, it's an instant connection for the readers. My heart swooned, skipped a few beats, then melted in the best possible way. Get to one-clicking, Peeps! Story Ingredients: Slow burn romance Emotional plot twist Sexy dialogue Deliciously naughty scenes Sweet and witty banter Great supporting characters Lower level angst Happily ever after! Great writing: Well written with unique story line Smooth and easy pacing Character development on point Favorite Quote: "When something is worth fighting for, you don’t wait around to figure out logistics. You say yes, you accept the gift you’ve been given, and you figure out the rest later, because life is too damn short to be unhappy.”

This story was a fun and emotional read. It's a different take on finding someone online. I loved Eden so much. So many times, we seem to connect to the men in the stories more than the heroine but I was really drawn to her. She was so refreshing. What you see is what you get and she tells you how she feels. I enjoyed how real these characters seemed to be with each other. No games. I found myself imagining that this story could go in a few different directions and very pleased with the way that it did. I just love Penelope's stories. They draw me right in every time.

With Love Online, Penelope Ward delivers a sexy and audacious romance that is ideal for our technology dominated technology. Ryder McNamara is bored with his life and longs for a real connection. His power and position in the entertainment business grants him access to anything money can buy, including fake friends and too many women vying for his attention. Tired of the same old meaningless parties, he wanders into website where he’s mesmerized by the beautiful cam-girl who went by “Montana.” Introducing himself as “ScreenGod” they start building a friendship talking every night until they reveal their names and snippets of their lives but not much more. Their connection and chemistry exceeded their online relationship, but Eden was reluctant to give more. But the day she didn’t go online nor respond to his messages, Ryder got worried and used the only piece of information he’d gleaned to track her down. She had been adamant about keeping the status quo, but it was a risk he was willing to take. What will happen when Ryder finds out about the secret she’d been hiding? Ward creates sizzling chemistry between Ryder and Eden, writing touching conversations between them that feel real. Their attraction is palpable from the moment they meet even though for the longest time Eden hadn’t even seen Ryder’s face. I was equally hooked by both characters and their story and enjoyed every minute of it as they moved towards their happy ending. Ryder was an amazingly understanding and patient alpha male hero while Eden was a strong, bright, resourceful and unapologetic heroine. Even though falling in love online isn’t new (I’m a big fan of “You’ve Got Mail” from way back in 1998!), Ward gives this story a fresh new feel with what felt like a very real depiction. Love Online had a great pace, wonderful secondary characters, a bit of angst and a big dollop of swoony romance. It is a standalone contemporary romance by Penelope Ward. It is a sweet, sexy and heartwarming contemporary romance, told from both points of view.

I truly enjoyed this book. I finished the read with a huge smile on my face. Through the pages I fell deeply in love with these characters. Love Online is one of Penelope’s best books to date. Ryder and Eden didn’t meet in a conventional way, yet their relationship grew into a romantic love affair to envy. At times I felt wrong for loving them so much but guess what... sorry, not sorry, because they were the perfect match. There were several times the story could have become formulaic and I was pleasantly surprised when it didn’t. The story was different and refreshing. With great flow, I never felt rushed. Everything played out perfectly. These were strong characters and I’m going to say it, I would love to see more of them. Grab Love Online and see for yourself.

What did I just read and what did Penelope do to my soul through these characters and this story? While you might argue that you've probably read another book where the two main characters met online, I can assure you without a doubt that you haven't read anything like what comes after that first encounter between Ryder and Eden. Their story is unique, with little twist and turns to keep us, the readers, guessing what's next. This is a story with soul, full of heart. A story that proves that not because a person has access to the best things in life that person is happy and fulfilled, and not because a person is struggling to make ends meet that person is unhappy and unfulfilled. You would think Ryder is a spoiled brat just because the way he grew up, but is the complete opposite, he has such a beautiful understanding of human nature, probably because his past experiences. I loved the utmost respect he shows towards Eden, the love and admiration he develops for her. And Eden, goodness that woman is so humble and good natured, so fiercely independent, with way too much responsibility on her shoulders, but she embraced it and is doing what she can to live each day in the best way possible. I loved this book so much, every single one of the characters spoke to me in a different way, every one of them taught me a lesson. That is the kind of book that an avid reader never forgets, the ones that make a profound impression on us. *** Please, please I beg you, go into this story blind, you'll understand why once you submerge yourself into Ryder and Eden's journey.

4.5 Stars for Ryder & Eden. With a title like Love Online I wasn’t quite sure where Penelope was going to take this story. Let’s just say that this story had some sweet, sexy and sad moments in it but was totally an enjoyable and entertaining read. Ryder comes from a world where he doesn’t want for anything and girls are available for his choosing. While looking to escape his so called life Ryder stumbles across a cam girl and finds more than he bargained for. I loved Ryder. He was real, raw, sexy, determined and everything Eden needed in her life. She was the perfect example of why you should never judge someone for their actions without the full story. Watching Eden and Ryder connect online had me rooting for them to take it to the next level. As they spent their evenings chatting trust was building as well as an emotional attachment being made. Their journey may not be a walk on Easy Street but most things In life worth having to take work. Grab your copy of Love Online and see how things turn out for Ryder and Eden

4.5 Stars Oh my Ryder! Penelope Ward has done it again! Love Online is a bit different and these characters certainly meet under different circumstances and don’t have a traditional romance but their story definitely worked for me! I think Ryder is just amazing and totally swoon-worthy and Eden is so sweet and love-able. This was a fun read, without a lot of unnecessary drama, as Eden and Ryder try to figure out if they can make their relationship work. These two have a great connection, even if they found it in an unconventional way. Ryder and Eden have very different lives and yes they find love together, but the real test is whether they can find a way to connect their lives and their love. I love the way Penelope Ward can deliver a story, and Love Online hit all the marks for me. It made me laugh, cry and fall in love!

Occasionally, a story comes along at the right time to lift my spirits. Love Online by Penelope Ward is one of those books for me. Ryder McNamara seems to have it all. His father is grooming him to take over the movie studio found by the senior McNamara. Ryder works a lot while he is still pining for his ex, even two years after their breakup. It ways him down because he blames himself for the breakup. One night, when he is way down, Ryder is drawn to Montana Lane’s online profile. For the first time in a long time, he connects with someone who makes him feel good about life. The characters have very different past and present situations. It is unusual for two dissimilar people to connect in the many ways that Ryder and Montana connect. As they gradually reveal their secrets, the connection becomes stronger, and Ryder tries to work in more online time. In many ways, Love Online is a modern-day Cinderella story. Don’t get me wrong, she doesn’t have evil step-sisters or an evil step-mother. However, Ryder is a type of prince as the heir apparent to a highly successful business. He has more resources than Montana. Montana isn’t destitute more average middle-class. As a big fan of the dark, it is gratifying to find a lighter love story that hits all my buttons. Love Online does just that. The characters are believable and touch my heart. I am crazy about the way Ms. Ward unfolds the connection between the two main characters. Two of the secondary characters, Lorena and Ollie, are fascinating. They both add so much to the story. Ollie, in particular, is a joy and adds another layer to the way the relationship plays out. The way Penelope develops the characters and reveals their secrets keeps me engaged in the story from the start. There are several times that I prepared myself for the same-old, same-old spin on this yarn; that didn’t happen. Instead, Ms. Ward has the characters act in a mature, believable manner. It is refreshing when an author takes that path. I enjoyed this story so much that I am waiting for the audio version to enjoy the story again via the audible process. If you are a fan of a good romance that is a little different from the norm, Love Online is a story for you. You won’t regret it.
