About the Author

I was born and raised in a small village known as Starkville, New York surrounded by early American History, and all the battles, and forts of the Revolutionary War that dotted the Mohawk Valley. At an early age I started to have a very deep interest in the rich history that surrounded me, and still have that passion today.
I graduated from a very small, but beautiful school in 1968. Needing to feed my love for travel, I joined the Navy, and did two years on a minesweeper in Vietnam, and traveled the South Pacific.
Today I live in the Blue Ridge Mountains between Asheville, NC and the Tenn. border in an 1860 farmhouse I restored. Secluded, and with no neighbors, only two beautiful rivers passing by. I enjoy my two Border Collies and my walks along the river, and the rocky cliffs, as well as my woods and hills that surround my home. Here I draw insperation for my next historical book.
