Lessons Learned Along the Way shares the author's missionary work in Indonesia and provides practical teaching that other missionaries can apply in global missions.

He writes with cultural sensitivity, empathy, and great perception into the spiritual and social dynamics while sharing the details of his missionary work with the Dayak people in Indonesia. Each story included will captivate readers with the author's balance of narrative detail and analysis of core takeaways. These stories are also a great expression of the Dayak's, and many other rural people groups, preferred learning method. Readers interested or engaged in global missions will find this book to be packed full of practical instruction on planting churches in a culture different from their own.

In addition to the practical information contained herein, the author's gospel vision and passion shines clearly on every page. An emphasis on the work of the Spirit to build His church is refreshing and sustaining throughout the book.

Dr. Wayne W. Allen (Ph.D. Missiology) served from 1978 to 1990 in West Kalimantan, Indonesia, as village evangelist, discipler, pastor, and Bible college lecturer and administrator.

His current focus is to encourage the large and powerful Christian denominations in Indonesia to send cross-cultural missionaries into the ASEAN nations.
