I was really eager to know what happened after the events of kickass 2, so here's how this one goes, after being victorious in a mob fight, kickass becomes the new leader of justice forever but hit girl ends up in jail, but she ain't sittin pretty, she's keeping all the prison tough gals in line and it's up to justice forever to break her out, and of course nonstop hardcore action and gore soaked mayhem ensues that mark millar always delivers ;). I highly recommend this to those who love the movie adaptations and have read the first two graphic novels as well, and just a fair word of warning, kickass 3 is actually gorier than the first two and the hitgirl prelude, if you thought kickass 1 and 2 and the hitgirl prelude were super gory, wait till you read this one lol. all in all, it's a really fun read for those who are fans of mark millar
Don’t bother with the doors, they’re already locked. I was so blown away with the first Kick Ass book (I still think it’s one of the best comics I’ve read) that I was a little underwhelmed by its’ two sequels (I’m talking about Hit-Girl and Kick Ass 2); however, I think enough time has passed for me to once again love this series wholeheartedly. I’m guessing that when I reread these someday I will be able to love each of them the same, it’s just that the first book made such an impression on me that it makes the other books seem lesser, but I have a feeling that this isn’t really the case. Kick Ass 3 is the end of the circle and the definitive end for the series (there is, in fact a two page spread that says: THE END). While I’m sorry to see it go, it did go out in fine style. It has the same stellar artwork and sharp writing that we have come to expect, not to mention the sudden plot twists and horrific dismembering. And while it did wrap everything up quite nicely, couldn’t we all do with some more Hit-Girl?
