I love Lorelei James' work. The characters in this were perfectly matched. I loved Walker's strength compared to Trinity's zaniness. I couldn't put it down as I had to find out how they resolve their relationship and what the reasons were for their past behavior. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series

Just What I Needed is a wonderful continuation of the Lund family stories that started in What You Need. Trinity and Walker initially meet in a most unusual fashion, and there is a definite spark that just gets brighter and brighter! I like that both of these characters have pursued their passion in life in spite of perceived, or in Trinity's case very real, expectations. They know who they are are and what they want and pursue their dreams, even though it isn't always the easiest path. They know that they want each other and work hard to make that happen. It's not always easy, and the best things in life usually aren't, but the journey is so worthwhile! I enjoyed their banter back and forth, and their persistence...how the y truly backed one another didn't play games. Their honesty and emotions weren't always easy but they were genuine and strengthened the bond between these two all the way through the book. The extended Lund family makes appearances throughout the book and add richness to this family series.

Book two had me hooked from page 1. I love seeing the two black sheep come to terms with what their relationship may be. Walker is now one of my top two Lorelei James male characters of all times....I'm swooning!

I am a huge of Lorelei James, but I cannot get into her new writting style. I love plots of this new series but the first person style I hate. I do not like the choppiness of each chapter bounceing from one character to the next. I hope she returns to her old writting style soon.

When Trinity Carlson’s dreams of becoming a famous artist are shattered and her sister gets the family pearls, she goes to a dive bar to drown her sorrows. When she sees her ex and his girlfriend there, it’s the last straw. Starved for a relationship and angry to boot, she grabs the next guy she sees and plants a whopper of a kiss on him. Walker Lund is not so surprised that he kisses her back. In fact, he enjoys it so much, they spend the rest of the evening together. He gets her name and number, both false, and hopes to see her again. Fruitless in his attempts, he gives up hope until they appear at the same charity workshop. Will they work things out given this second chance or will secrets keep them apart? JUST WHAT I NEEDED is a wonderful follow-up to WHAT YOU NEED. Although each may be read as a standalone, you should treat yourself to both. You will enjoy Walker and Trinity’s journey to their happily-ever-after as they both grow emotionally and personally. Although not as sexy as Ms. James’s usual fare, there’s plenty of spice. Lively banter keeps things interesting in this fast-paced story. I enjoyed this book immensely and would recommend it to all readers of delightful contemporary romance.

*ARC received for an honest review* Just What I Needed is the second installment in Lorelei James’ contemporary romance Need You series. It’s funny, sweet, sexy, and an all around amazing read. The way Walker and Trinity meet is epic. I LOL’d at the way Trinity…well…you’ll have to read to find out. And Walker’s reaction was priceless. These two characters are destined to be together from the beginning and there’s enough chemistry to burn up the pages. I fell head over heals in love with both the characters right away. Trinity is a spit fire. I’m not sure how Lorelei had done it but she has really hit it out of the park with the heroines in this series. I knew Lennox in book #1 was great and now Trinity has pushed her way into my top 5 favorite heroines as well. I love how she challenges Walker at every step. She is constantly keeping him on his toes. Walker is one fine specimen of a man. His Lumbersexual look with the beard and long hair is enough to make any woman swoon, add in his amazing physique and…wow! . He is smart, sexy, successful, and works with his hands. Best part about him is he understands and appreciates Trinity’s creative mind and all her quirks and he quickly figures out how to be the man she needs. He is dependable, loyal, and when he loves, whether it be his family or his woman, he does so with his whole being. I truly enjoyed this story. Lorelei has done spectacular job. She has managed to portray the closeness, love, and loyalty that this family stands for. No matter what is happening, they are always there to lend a helping hand or give each other a hard time, whichever is needed, lol. Oh and I best not forget to mention Selka Lund, she is a hoot! She cracks me up at every turn and still manages to be the wise mother she needs to be. The secondary characters, including Brady and Lennox from book #1, really pull this story together and make it a well rounded read. I laughed, I cried, I swooned, and I cursed but in the end I fell madly in love, all over again, with the entire Lund family. I am so excited to get to read about the other Lund men and women we get to meet along the way. Way to go Lorelei, you nailed it!

Once again Lorelei James has given us a great story in this series. You will fall in love with Walker Lund and Trinity Amelia Carlson. Two independent people that feel disconnected from their family pulled together with instant attraction only they are determined to not want each other and that pulls them that much closer together. Walker Lund stepped away from the family business to run his own construction company. Trinity Carlson is an up incoming artist trying to get her break. Having shared a couple of hot moments at the bar, Trinity doesn't quite trust herself and gives him the wrong name and telephone number, thinking they are never going to bump paths again. When they bump into each other again at the bar and Trinity goes right to Walker and kisses him with no warning, Walker knows there is more he wants to pursue with Trinity. When Walker agrees to work for the LCCO (Lund Community Cares Outreach Program) he is shocked to see Trinity there as well. Sparks fly, chemistry explodes as they take the tumble and fall from lust to love. This story is quirky and fast paced. You will laugh out loud at times, and get all hot and bothered at others. Can't wait for the next one!!!!

Just What I Needed 5 Stars This is the second book in the "The Need You Series". I am loving me some Lund brothers. In this book we got to read about Walker Lund the black sheep of the family. I am just in love with this book. The writing was phenomenal, the main characters are fun and engaging I just could not put this book down. And of course the supporting cast of characters where awesomely delightful they made you wish they where your best friends to. Mrs. James has written another great book and I for one can't wait to read the next one.

Just finished reading "Just What I Needed" and was pleased with the storyline and the Happily Ever After Walker and Trinity deserved and got. The beginning was a little jarring for me. The whole bar scene and what Trin was going through was a little confusing, but when she met Walker and they - eventually - settled into each other I did to. I loved the relationship Walker had with his family. The life he led brought him to Trinity for a reason. Their personalities complemented each other. The scenes at the birthday party and after were heartbreaking. I hurt for Walker and Trinity. When Walker's brothers held their intervention for him I felt relief that they finally did for him. I cheered at the end of the book and can't wait for the next installment in this series. I love the Lund family! thanks Lorelei James for creating another family to fall in love with. 3 likes ·

Have you ever had a day when you have had enough and can’t take any more? Trinity Carlson has had that day and is now sitting at a bar drinking by herself, when her ex and his new girlfriend walk into the bar. So what does she do, so does what any woman would do, she walks up to and kisses a hot, blond stranger. Walker Lund walks into a bar and never expected that a hot woman would just walk up and kiss him. However, that is what just happened. Now he can’t stop thinking about her. He soon discovers the hot woman has given him a fake name and number he suddenly finds himself in a bind and feels he must find her. When Trinity takes a job and runs into the man she kissed the other night she is not sure what to do. Walker sees it as a sign and is going to do all he can to convince her they belong together. Will he win the girl or will she be faster? I loved how Walker works on convincing Trinity they belong together. He is so thoughtful and caring. He is patient and kind. Trinity you can see has been hurt bad before and that it is hard for her to trust others. I wanted to just step in and help keep her safe. I can’t wait for the next book to see what’s next.

Another fantastic, very well written book from Ms. James. I can honestly say that I have never been disappointed in any of her books. Trinity is such a delightful mix of spunky, creative and vulnerable and Walker is so sweet, caring and entirely lovable!! What a great second installment in the entertaining, creative and adorable Lund family!!!

What I Needed is just what this book delivered. I honestly did not think I would like this one better than the first in this series but boy was I wrong! I LOVED this book! Walker and Trinity are the perfect ying and yang. I loved that Lorelei made Trinity quirky and imperfect, just like women are. She kept her real and didn't make her all conform to what the man wanted. And Walker??? Sheesh what can I say about him other than he's the perfect man! Now he has his own issues, again, something I love that Lorelei does to her characters, but he is just so sweet. The way he cares about Trinity is just the bomb! Lorelei writes her characters so they pull you into their world. You feel what they feel and want them to succeed. I have read everything this author has written and I can honestly say she keeps getting better. Read this series, you will not regret it and hey, you may just fall in love with these characters like I did.

Just What I Needed is a knock-your-socks-off story from the first page to the final page. Trinity is a feisty heroine and Walker is a totally sigh worthy hero. Together they complete each other. Although the ride to their happily-ever-after will keep you up reading long past your bedtime you won't regret a single turn of the page. Ms. James knows how to write a well rounded book. The story is complete and gives you insight into what makes this couple and all the secondary characters tick. Well done.

Lorelei James has done it again! I loved this book! It’s equal to, if not better than, book one. Funny, emotional, sweet, and steamy, this book hooked me in fast and kept me reading almost straight through. Walker got to me from the start and so did Trinity. I laughed at a lot of their interactions because of their shared sense of humor. I hurt for them when I saw their pain and was angry for them at what others did to cause them pain. I’m excited for more of this family. This is a definite new favorite for me. ~ARC provided by the author, but that has not influenced my review~

I pre ordered Just What I Needed months ago and I was counting down the days until my copy will get in the mail so I was super excited when I was able to get an ARC of the book and read it 3 weeks early. Just What I Needed is definitely a book you need to read and I highly recommend reading the first book in the series as well [book:What You Need|25348171]. Just What I Needed started with a bang when the heroine Trinity Carlson is having a very bad day and end up kissing a total stranger in a dive bar- a move that is so not her but it seems that taking a chance was worth it. Walker Lund was shocked when a total stranger kissed him as soon as he entered a bar but they end up talking and he feels a strong chemistry and he's looking forward to seeing her again but then he find out she gave him a fake name and a wrong phone number. Trinity didn't mean to give Walker her old cell phone number but she was so confused that day that she totally forgot that she has a new number so she is very happy when she end up seeing him again and explain her mistake. As always with Lorelei James' books I found the plot and the characters really interesting and complex. Trinity is a very spunky and feisty and I just loved her! In many books I read the hero is the main attraction of the book but Lorelei James has a way of writing heroine that I just love. Walker is one of the sexiest heroes I read in recent years- I loved everything about him: his HOT Lumbersexual looks , his personality , his interaction with his family, the way he took care of Trinity and I can go on and on. Walker and Trinity has a very strong chemistry and I really really enjoyed reading their love story. I loved reading about the Lund family- they have such close connection and they are not afraid to be brutally honest with one another. Walker's mother Selka just cracked me up: “She likes my facial hair just fine, Mom.” “Och. This too pretty a face to hide behind grizzled Adams beard.” “You mean a Grizzly Adams beard?” “Yah. Whatever.” I loved everything about Just What I Needed and I can't wait to read more about the Lund family.

You will fall in head over heels for this love story between two down to earth and quirky characters. Lorelei brings a story about two very sweet and lovable people who fate brings together, and then add in the woes of work, family, and friends. You just can't help but love Walker and Trinity along with all of the Lund family. Walker and Trinity are so down to earth that as you read you feel the two are your own personal friends. I had a smile on my face through the whole read of the story. I have added another Lorelei story to one of my all time favorite reads.

Just What I Needed is the second book in The Need You series by Lorelei James. Trinity and Walker meet each other in a bar, in a way that they'll provide their grandkids with a great story. Each face their own issues, Trinity, with her career and how her family perceives her, and Walker, who co-owns his own company, but feels like he is seen as below his siblings for not not going into his family's business. Throw in some entertainment from Mama Lund, you have a good story. I received an ARC of this book for an honest review, but I bought this book because I loved it and I love Lorelei James.

Oh, Walker and Trinity made me tear up, they made me laugh, they totally sucked me in with the wonderfulness that was them! Walker is the Lund that didn't go into the family business, or become a sports star, he did what he wanted to do, and went into construction. He worked his way up, and is happy with his life, but he doesn't want the spot-light, he is more settled in his life. When Trinity literally jumps into his arms, they both feel a connection they didn't expect. When they end up meeting again, they decide to explore it a bit further That is it, this is the evolution of their relationship, and all the craziness, emotions, family, friends, jobs, life, and outside forces that happen when you meet someone you want to spend time with, and watch it grow. They are both sweet, fierce, anchored, unexpected, loyal, and so hot together, if you are like me, once I started their story, there was no stopping!

This is the second book in this series and it can be read as a stand alone issue. It does have interconnecting characters, no cheating or lying and a HEA. Trinity Amelia Carlson is trying to soothe her rotten day with a drink at a local dive bar and her bad gets even worse when in walks her ex with his new girlfriend. She decides he can't see her alone so she grabs the hot blonde with a man bun and lays one heck of a kiss on him that makes them wish they weren't strangers. The proceed to sit and talk, he gets a wrong name and number and then has to rush out to come to a family members' rescue and Trinity thinks she will never see him again. Walker Lund walks into a bar and gets pulled into the best kiss of his life not knowing that this is his chance at finding love. Walker has had enough of his family and has been dodging them. He's never been interested in the family business and stepped out on his own to go into construction. The Lund's are very wealthy and powerful in Minneapolis and he just wants to be excepted for who he is not for the family name and money. When Trinity lays that fabulous kiss on him and he discovers just how sexy and quirky she is, he just wants more. But first he has to find her...

This review was written by Marie for a guest review post on Ever After Book Reviews blog: 5 Stars I LOVE. LORELEI. JAMES. No, seriously. I REALLY do. I have read ALL of her books and could not wait for this one! So when I got it, naturally, I spent an entire afternoon consuming it. And I am SO happy that I did. From the get-go, I knew that I would love Trinity. She is a fuller figured, spunky and cute girl who goes out and plants one on a guy in a bar. I mean, who doesn’t wish they had the self-confidence to do that?! But instead of giving the guy even the slightest of a chance, she gives him a fake name and non-working phone number. Fast-forward a little bit, and she finds herself back in his path…and eventually with his heart. Walker and Trinity are ADORABLE. Walker is a down to earth, family man who clearly loves a woman for who she is, not for what he hopes he can make her become. From the moment these two met, their chemistry built and built until it absolutely exploded. The journey to their happily ever after was a perfectly paced ride, building and building with every single encounter. Of course, Lorelei James has the ability to write some seriously steamy and sexy scenes, and she does not disappoint! It’s an incredibly sweet, believable romance that transpires just as it should, and left me begging for more from this extremely talented author. ***I read and reviewed a paperback copy of the book gifted to the blog, from the publisher, in exchange for an honest review. All conclusions reached are my own***
