I needed a vegan cookbook for my 18 month old daughter who can not tolerate milk or eggs and is underweight. This book is perfect as it has cupcakes, breads and muffins which are exactly geared to her palate and of course I just leave out the nuts if a recipe calls for them as she is to young. What a life saver! Many of the dairy and egg free items I've purchased, even in health food stores are not very good. Every recipe I've made from this book is fairly easy to make and extremely delicious. Even if you aren't a vegetarian you will love these recipes! Thank you, Ms. Patrick-Goudreau!

I am a total sucker for sweets, but I wanted to cut out dairy and eggs from my diet. This book is a complete, well-written, well-explained guide on how to bake without butter and eggs (which I thought were requirements for baked goods before, but now I know they aren't!). I highly recommend the chocolate chip cookies, the chocolate cake, the banana chocolate chip muffins, and the chocolate cheesecake (I see a theme in all my favorites...)! I highly recommend this baking book.

Compared to several other vegan cookbooks I have, I know I can coun't on making each recipe with confidence and satisfaction. Bran Muffins are so comforting and yummy, me & my kids spent a Sunday morning gushing over them, even my 8 year old boy couldn't get enough. Really, everything I have made has been such a success. As a mom, I know I can count on this book to feed my ever-hungry family.

This cookbook is fantastic!!! I have baked two of the cake recipes over the past week and haven't been disappointed. Try the Chocolate Cake with chocolate icing and the Blueberry Orange Bundt Cake. The directions are easy to follow, and the results are incredible. I absolutely recommend for everyone who loves to cook. Enjoy!!!!!

This vegan baking book is wonderful, and has so much variety even for the most finiky eaters. There are also many vegan resources and suggestions for replacing traditionally used animal byproducts in baking recepies. Highly recommended!

My cupboard is filled with cookbooks, but this is the one I use the most. Though I haven't made every recipe in this book - yet! - I am always amazed at how delicious the product turns out. I highly recommend it!

This is a terrific easy to follow cookbook...and don't let the word Vegan in the title scare you. The recipes are delicious and contain ingredients that are easy to find. There is a wonderful collection of photographs of the food. Who doesn't enjoy having their cake and making it healthier??

This is a wonderfully classic, comprehensive baking companion, full of food info and fun, factual tidbits. A great gift for vegan friends, but also good for the omni-cook. This book (includes!) but goes beyond basic American baking. I was most delighted to come across recipes for chocolate babka, horchata, and soft pretzels! Whether you are new to vegan baking, or a non-dairy pro, YOU NEED THIS BOOK.

This is the best vegan baking book I have ever read. I use it on a weekly basis, whether it be using a recipe or the helpful hints in the first few chapters. I would recommend this to anyone, vegan or not :)

Holy moley, this is a good one! There are many color photos, as well as several pages in the beginning to give you general vegan baking tips (egg substitues for example, some I've never heard of in my 8 years of vegan baking). Very eays to follow format, and the recipes are great! Be sure to try the Chocolate peanut butter pie on pg. 98 - it only takes about 5 ingredients and 15 minutes, and is easily one of the best desserts I've EVER had.

I totally enjoyed this vegan baking book and I will recommend it to my vegan friends. The recipes are easy to follow and I hope to try them all eventually. Bravo...hope to see more of this kind of baking.

Amazing book. Not only does it include great receipies with beautiful photos, it also fully explains how to turn any regular recipe into a vegan one. Dairy and egg alternatives are mostly "normal" ingredients that can be found at any grocery store (even in Middle America) there are a few specialty ingredients but even those are backed up with sources to find them. Appendix is full of useful baking information. Even non-vegans will enjoy this book.

This is an exquisite little book. I want to cook everything in it and that hardly ever happens with a cookbook. My only quibble is that it's a little preachy and she talks about "reclaiming" words such as butter for use by vegans as though it was taken away from them by force, which strikes me as exactly backwards logic.

I have just begun my "vegan" journey, and in my former life, I "loved" to bake. I was so thrilled to find a vegan baking book. My adult son was 'home' this week-end and I had him "thumb through it" and he asked for the Chocolate Chip cookies. That will be my first recipe tried. Truthfully, I can't wait to start "baking". I read the entire first section to find out more about vegan baking, and I am in the process of purchasing those ingredients that will enable me to "bake" any day I choose.
