About the Author
Gail Gilbert was a subject Coordinator in the Curriculum Development Unit of the Ministry of Education in St. Kitts and Nevis. She is also the founder of the Islands of the Caribbean Sea Publications and a member of the Nonfiction Authors Association. Her first major publication, Islands of the Caribbean Sea Reference Book, provides detailed information on all the islands in the Caribbean Sea and those countries and islands which are also considered part of the Caribbean because of their shared history, political and economic ties. As a former Foreign Service Officer and national security official, and having represented St. Kitts and Nevis before regional and international organizations such as OECS, CARICOM and OAS, Gail has realized that many people know very little about the Caribbean region except for its sun, sea and sand. It is her goal therefore to educate persons about the region through her Islands of the Caribbean Sea Series.
Gail is a mother of four and is working on her dream of helping less fortunate children throughout the Caribbean.
