A five book volume for kindergarten and preschool early readers. The books gradually become more challenging as the reader progresses to the end. Level K-1, were developed for parent guided reading practice of the most basic sight words. A Sight Word is a word recognized on sight and not sounded out. No more than 20 words are presented in each book. The stories are engaging and have lots of reading practice and cute, colorful pictures. After each story, all of the words are presented in flashcards, there are reading practice sentences and a timed word list.
About the Author
Nancy Genetti was a Special Education teacher for 28 years. She holds a teaching degree in both; Elementary Education and Special Education, as well as an endorsement in English as a Second Language. Her commitment has always been to find creative ways of teaching children with learning disabilities, children learning English, and beginning readers. She has three series of SIGHT WORD BOOKS: the YOU READ, I READ (pre-K); the I CAN READ EASY WORDS (K-1); and the I CAN READ ALONE (level 2) books are a result of her lifelong dedication to bridge those challenges. She is also the illustrator of the books.

I love this set of books. My child has read them over and over and has really enjoyed the fact that he can read now. Its really helped him in school with his reading. His teacher noticed a difference.
