Shenanigans and romance abound in the Hart Land series from USA TODAY bestselling author Chris Keniston. Fall in love with the lakeside small town of Lawford, retired Marine Corps General Harold Hart, his artistic wife Fiona, matchmaking housekeeper Lucy, and his nine single granddaughters. Did we say single? Well not for long!

Determined to meet his deadline, author Alan Peterson retreats to a secluded cabin near the small town of Lawford. When his temporary home is invaded by a wild animal, with only a broom for defense, he has no choice but to call in reinforcements. Expecting a burly mountain man on his doorstep, truth proves stranger than fiction when a fearless beautiful blonde comes to his aid.

Having loved and cared for animals all her life, veterinarian Hyacinth Nelson is now spearheading the development of a wildlife sanctuary. The only thing stopping her is money—or the lack there of. With a major fundraiser around the corner, she has no time for the intriguing stranger who keeps crossing her path and leaving her with more questions than answers.

You won't want to miss the fun happenings when the two worlds of Hart Land's reclusive guest Alan Peterson, and Lawford's favorite veterinarian Hyacinth Nelson, collide.

As a Special Bonus HYACINTH includes a treat from Lily's Recipe Box!

I think this is my favourite book in the series so far! I read it without stopping in one afternoon because I couldn’t put it down. I laughed at the feisty goose, the escaped goats and the spitting camel, a story with animals has to be a keeper. The growing attraction between Cindy & Alan made for a wonderful love story. I was gifted an advanced reader copy and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book. I recommend it, it can be read as a stand alone but I do recommend the whole series.

This is my 2nd favorite book in the series!!! Hyacinth and Alan have a few really funny encounters - laughed throughout the book. Their relationship slowly progresses - which I loved. Loved seeing previous characters. I really like how the author gives us a sneak peak into the next book at the end.

The fifth book in this series doesn’t disappoint. Hyacinth and Alan provide some laugh-out-loud situations with lots of small town fun. Chris Keniston is amazingly talented and a genius when it comes to the breathing personality into her characters. A very enjoyable read!

A beautifully unique name as captivating as the woman who wears it. Hyacinth is no ordinary love story. Keniston blends heartfelt, emotion with fearless, determination and creates an unforgettable story. Hyacinth make look like an angel, but reads like a warrior. No fight is too big or small, when it comes to helping an animal or protecting her family. Alan is her total opposite, but he could end up being her perfect fit. Encased within a sweetly crafted tale are a few life lessons and an abundance of heart.

Another granddaughter I'd destined for love. Hyacinth, the town veterianan is trying to get a wildlife sanctuary built. Never would she have believed what all would help this dream! And what about the quiet, recluse cabin occupant who has an odd companion in his cabin! It all comes together in this delightful continuing series of Chris Kenistons. What a ride it is. The General and his wife are the wonderful grandparents who love to slyly interfere! Don't miss this one!

Surprising the Veterinarian….Alan has been secluded in a Hart Land cabin for almost a month working on a new mystery. When he believes that a wild animal has entered his home, Alan calls for help. Cindy, the town veterinarian, responds and is surprised at what she finds. This is the start of a sweet, clean, and humorous romance set in a small New England town. I don't want to spoil the story but describing it further. I received a free copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntarily given review. This book is a wonderful treasure and a joy to read. The animals that Cindy treats as well as Alan’s unusual approach to writing add many humorous moments. I love this book and finished it in one day. I recommend this good light read.

Alan is a writer with write’s block. On a suggestion from his grandfather, he takes a cabin at Hart Land in hopes of getting back to writing. Hyacinth is the local vet, and granddaughter of the owner of Hart Land. She gets called to rescue Alan from a 4-footed interloper in his cabin. He gets a chance to help her with her dream, a wildlife rescue center. Along the way, they discover much much more in the way of mutual attraction. This was a great addition to the Hart Land saga. I especially liked seeing the writer open up to the love of kittens and all things Hart. Great read, Chris!

Hyacinth is the new book in the Hart Land series. This has been a wonderful series and this story is even sweeter and funnier than the past ones. I started out laughing out loud in chapter one and feeling warm fuzzies all the way through the book. What can go wrong with a veterinarian and a mysterious mystery writer plus a whole bunch of little animals – in particular two kittens. You will love the story and all the characters that show up like the General and Mrs. Hart, and Lucy, the housekeeper/matchmaker. If you like a very funny story with lots of animals then this book is for you.
