What a totally fabulous idea, especially for Jane Austen fans. I loved mine so much that I bought several and gave them to friends and family as gifts. Each and every person felt as I did. Again, a truly great idea and lovely gift. My only fault was that it was placed in with the address books and not out in front where everyone could easily see them. It would have been a good idea to place a counter with the address books along with some Jane Austen books. I just happened along that space and came across it. What a shame should I have missed it.

Bought this book to keep addresses and contact info for friends. (Got tired of having to sync data every time I got a new phone!) SOOO pretty, and perfect small size to keep in crowded desk drawer in my home office. (Size would also be perfect to keep in a purse.) Very delicate and girlish. (I'm 31, but Jane Austen is timeless!)

This little book has served me well for over a year. I like to keep a little book with me in case of unexpected phone deaths and disappearances, and to accommodate the impulsive (compulsive) writing of letters in exotic locales. The appearance of the book is uniformly lovely--the style of the tabs and the lettering especially. The quotes at each letter are nice for when you're stuck at the bus stop, or if you find yourself in need of a little Jane Austen zing in the letter you're writing. The entry fields cover most impertinent people-information: name, address, email, three phone numbers (home, work, and cell), and a fax number. I liked that it didn't make me feel guilty about not remembering many people's birthdays by not having a birthday field. (Letters are good on birthdays and on unbirthdays.) It has a nice elastic band which keeps your phone cards, business cards, etc., from falling out. My only complaint is that, after a year of rattling around in my bag, the binding is falling apart. I think if you would only give it a nice pocket to live in, it could enjoy a nice, long life. I will be buying a different book this year only because I enjoy change--I like to cull through and winnow my acquaintance with a new book every now and then.

I am a huge Jane Austen fan. I have read all her books, and probably seen every movie and mini-series based on them. I have two other friends who love her as much as I do, and while I couldn't bring myself to buy a copy for myself, I did buy a copy for each of them when we graduated college, only to find out we had all had the same idea. We had each bought two copies of the address book to gift to each other. Needless to say, now we each have one, as well as several of our extended family members. I love my copy because it has sentimental value, but it is also compact. If you have A LOT of addresses, this is not the book for you, but if you want an address book that is small enough to fit in your purse or briefcase, then this is perfect. I cannot think of how many times I have been called by a friend or family member looking for someone else's address, or where I have been at a job interview and needed to look up a phone number, address or email for a paper I am filling out. This has been my solution. And if Jane Austen is not for you, Barnes and Noble has other choices, but a small address book like this is invaluable, and the greatest part is that it has random quotes from Jane Austen. I love it!!!!

I bought this several years ago and its time for another. I'm glad that Barnes & Nobles still has it. Lovely address book. Small and to the point. Paper holds up well to gels and markers and many many cross outs.

I have found that this is a good size to keep in my purse. I the elastic strap keeps it closed while in my purse. The line on which to write are a good size and the quotes are nice to read once in awhile.

This is very unique and beautifully made. I am a great fan of the author, Jane Austen, and love the Victorian 19th Century era where men were gentlemen and women were ladies.

An excellent address book. Plenty of room for my large family, friends and necessary numbers for my child. A beautiful book for fans of Jane Austen's work.
