I am a sophomore at Saint Joseph High School. I had to pick a book about Hitler for a school research project and I picked this book. The biography goes into detail about Hitler's parents and his life before he was the leader of the Nazi Party. The author Albert Marrin integrated quotes into the book from the people during that time which is very interesting. Albert Marrin is very opinionated in the biography which was not great at some parts but okay at others. His writing is also fairly easy to read. He used lots of abbreviations throughout the book that I had to memorize to get what was going on in some different parts of the book. He also used a lot of figurative language which for me made the book more interesting to read. Overall the book is very educational it is good use for a research project on Hitler. Not only does it go into Hitler's life it expands more on the war and how it affected people during that time.

This is a great book, I think that it explains what happened in Hitlers life just right. How his dad beat him, how his mother loved him, and how he went mad. I think that everyone should read this book because Hitler is misunderstood, he just wanted to be a successer. He was a crazy man that tryed to take the world from people. But nevertheless he was a military master mind. I highly reccomend this book to people around the world
