I ordered this book to understand what my boyfriend was going through, emotionally, as a result of a loved one's act. It was extremely helpful to me in understanding his mood swings and his guilt. It not only tells you what you go through, but also give ways of understanding that it is normal for you to have those feelings, and ways of dealing with those feelings. It gives real accounts of people who have struggled with the same emotions and conquered them. It leaves you feeling like there IS hope to move forward with your life and everything will be okay eventually.
Following a very good friend's suicide last summer, I read this book which helped me more than any of the others I had read. It is broken down by chapter according to the relationship to the suicide: parent, sibling, friend, child which really helps.
