About the Author

Ralph Griffiths, OBE, is professor emeritus of medieval history at the Swansea University and chairman of the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Wales. Prys Morgan is professor emeritus of history at Swansea University. Madeleine Gray is senior lecturer in history at the University of Wales, Newport and honorary research fellow at the National Museum of Wales.
