The colors are bright and engaging with drawings that are simple but very expressive with cute details. The story is simple enough that our 2 year old grandson can now "read" most pages himself. The book contains a subtle lesson about friends and sharing, but the lesson is accessible even to this young audience.

My son has always loved these books! He was interested in them when he was an infant and now as a toddler. He says words he may not have learned in other books...like snail, mole, bee and of course the characters names. It also helped with animal sounds and opposites. We hope to see new characters and books come out in this series!

Gossie and her red boots are a hit with my 4 year old. Good text and story with the repetitive "every day" but the adorable illustrations seal the deal.

Excellent book! My kids love to read it over and over. But, I was disappointed with the size. I was expecting a library sized book, but it was the size of a small board book.

This book is requested repeatedly. Dunrea has a good grasp of the small child's interests. This board book was purchased in the store. It is made of durable materials. I previously tried purchased a set of 5 board books from this series online. The quality of the board used was very disappointing. Apparently, board can be of variable thickness.

My daughter loved this book! She had bright pink boots and we were trying to learn the concept of sharing and this book was perfect.

We have read all the books in this series. They're very simple and formulaic, but in a good way - very cute, too.Only problem? After the 100th rendition (especially if you're reading the other very similar books as well), you can recite that book in your sleep. And you will. Oh, how you will.

Gossie wears her bright red boots every day - so what happens when they are missing? A cute story, with darling illustrations, and simple text that is perfect for the little ones. It has a nice moral lesson to it, and her search for her boots is a great way to teach prepositions (behind, under, over, in ...) when Aubrey's a little older. We both really like this story.

I loved this. Simple words and illustrations, a little bot of detail to talk about on each page, soothing repetition, and a hilarious ending.

Gossie is a happy and active gosling who wears her favorite red rubber boots every day, until the day she wakes up to discover that her boots are missing. Olivier Dunrea's brightly-colored illustrations depict an actively curious Gossie, who is always investigating different creatures and situations. And for a creature whose facial expression is limited to an opening and closing her beak, Dunrea endows his gosling with emotion through raised wings and jaunty steps. Gossie¿s generous reaction to another gosling borrowing her boots serves as a good example to children that shared tastes can lead to good friends. While the board book version of this story may not be large enough for story time, the highly sympathetic Gossie would be a great tool for discussions about sharing. This book is recommended for both public and school libraries.

Very cute story about a little gosling who LOVES her red boots. And then one day they disappear and she looks everywhere for them - which is cute. My two year old enjoys the hunt for her red boots. However, I think the end is a confusing to little ones because Gossie and Gertie look way too much alike - but that's my only complaint.
