Now a TNT television series starring Michelle Dockery.
Fresh out of prison and fighting to keep afloat, Letty Dobesh returns to her old tricks burglarizing suites at a luxury hotel. While on the job, she overhears a man hiring a hit man to kill his wife. Letty may not be winning any morality awards, but even she has limits. Unable to go to the police, Letty sets out to derail the job, putting herself on a collision course with the killer that entangles the two of them in a dangerous, seductive relationship.
Good Behavior comprises three interlinked novellas (The Pain of Others, Sunset Key, and Grab), which together form a novel-length portrait of Blake Crouch’s all-time favorite character creation, Letty Dobesh. This edition is the complete Letty Dobesh collection.

Copy provided by Netgalley in exchange for an unbiased review. This book had an interesting format. It’s actually 3 short stories/novellas about the central character, Letty Dobesh, and came out in conjunction with the TV series Good Behavior. It includes commentary between the stories from the author about how the character came about, and subsequently how it evolved into the TV series. He makes it easy to read the commentary or skip over it (and absolves the reader of feeling “required” to read that commentary, although I found it interesting). I enjoyed the writing (as expected, I always enjoy Blake Crouch’s writing) and with all her flaws, I liked the character of Letty. I’d love to see her get her own novel, but I suspect I’ll have to content myself with her TV series instead. Overall I enjoyed reading this one very much, and look forward to watching the further adventures of Letty on the small screen.
WOW! Simply WOW! I knew that if Lady Mary (Michelle Dockery) was going to play Letty Dobesh, that this was going to be awesome! I loved these three short stories and if they are an example of what's to come GOOD BEHAVIOR will be a big hit. These stories were pretty much followed word for word in the TV version except for for a few twists. Thoroughly enjoyed them. There is a lot of suspense in them and the bantering of the characters will have you snorting with laughter. Read these before watching the TV series and then sit back and be amazed at the acting ability of Dockery. We ain't at Downton anymore ladies!
This book is actually made up of three corresponding novella’s. I have previously read Dark Matter by Blake Crouch and was blown away by it! When I saw that this was available for review is scooped it up right away. It was nice surprise to find chapters in between each novella from Blake Crouch. These chapters include what in this novella will be relevant for the TV show. I really liked that input from his perspective. Also, did anyone else know they are making this into a show???I would totally watch it because I am now invested into Letty I want to see where here story is going. Okay so Letty is very damaged the first book starts off with her pulling of a little heist in a hotel. Hit up some rooms, get the goods, and head out. However she stumbles onto something bigger than herself and when she decides to intervene, the story unravels from there. I loved all three stories in this bind up however I think that Grab was my favorite novella. Maybe I was more invested into Letty by novella 3 but I really enjoyed that one. Letty herself is just out of prison, a recovering drug addict, recovering alcoholic, and thief. Basically she should be a bad character all around, yet you will find yourself connecting with her. She is trying her best to stay clean and honest yet; she can’t help but get her rush through stealing. Her thought process is stealing is the lesser of two evils, the other evil being her addiction to drugs and alcohol. Letty definitely meets some unique and shady characters. You never quite know where her story will be going. While some does seem obvious some of the plot is definitely a surprise. I hate that some of the people you trust most seem to be the ones that hurt her the most. All in all I would highly suggest this little bind up to any fans of Blake Crouch or fans just of nitty gritty, suspenseful, mystery books. Thank you to Thomas and Mercer, Netgalley and Blake Crouch for the advance copy in lieu of my honest review. TNT’s Good Behavior Debuts Tuesday, Nov. 15, with a Two-Hour Premiere at 9 p.m. (ET/PT)
