I teach Pre-K and use this book as a classroom tool for understanding children's emotions. The children are able to express themselves more clearly through the use of the monsters in this book. The pictures are colorful and expressive.

This book is great for discussing emotions with young children. I bought my copy for my preschool class. The masks tear out neatly and can be stored in a folder in the back of the book. They seem sturdy, but can easily rip if children have trouble sharing them. Consider laminating if you want to preserve them, or only have them out for your read aloud and invite children to take turns wearing them. Otherwise have them practice making the emotion faces themselves ;)

Love this book ,and all Ed Emberley illustrations. I am a speech therapist and I ordered this book for some of my clients as a gift. It is great for 2-4 year olds who are just emerging in awareness of their emotions. It provides opportunities for parents to share discussions about emotions. The masks are great. Love this book!!

This is cute and different. My almost-three-year-old enjoys trying the masks and talking about the monsters. It does get him excited and playing monster, so we've had to make it a "daytime" only book.

This is a fun, humorous book that discusses different feelings. Would be a great book to read with young students and have them give examples of different feelings.
