Overview

Gaspard and Lisa have been friends for a long time . . . ever since last year. In Gaspard and Lisa Friends Forever, Gaspard recounts how he and Lisa met on the first day of school. At first, Gaspard wants nothing to do with her, especially after his classmates joke about how much they look alike, but then Gaspard’s teacher forces him to choose Lisa for his relay team. Despite her unusual kangaroo-hop running style, Lisa wins the race for Gaspard’s team and the rest is history—Gaspard and Lisa become friends forever!

The illustrations are what make the Misadventures of Gaspard and Lisa series work. They are an adorable pair. The story itself is slight and conveys an odd message - when Gaspard first meets Lisa, others compare the two and say they look alike. For some reason this makes Gaspard mad and he decides he hates Lisa until she wins his team a race. After that they are best friends. Hmmm....

My name is Bri and I am fourteen I got this book because it reminded me so much of when me and my friend Kaylee first met! This book is cute for the young and old and I gave it to my friend when she turned sixteen. Now we have a cute memory, this is a sweet book and has a cute moral to it! Read it and find out for yourself!!!! Thanks,Bri
