Did you know that toads are a kind of frog? This and many, many more wonderful and interesting facts are to be found in this great book. The pictures are really good. The facts were presented in an easy to understand format. There are so many interesting things to learn! I hope that this one wins the 2009-10 Texas Bluebonnet award!!

I'd use this book during an amphibian and reptile unit, and read it out loud, and show the pictures to help envelop the children more.

This is a great book for learning about frogs. It has great detail about them and the pictures are fantastic, there are even a pull out page to see a frog's motion while it's jumping. It also uses comparisons for things like how far and high a frog can jump. I think this helps kids really understand distance.
