Tween girls have access to an unbelievable amount of media and information with just a simple click of the remote or mouse. Every outlet they turn to attempts to subtly influence their worldview...and what they believe about themselves directly affects how they live.

Wynter Pitts, founder of For Girls Like You magazine, gives girls a new devotional showing them a correct definition of themselves, opening their eyes to God's truth and the difference it makes in their lives. Each daily devotion includes a prayer to help girls apply the lesson.

"If you've wondered whether there is anything left on the planet to entertain your young beauties that promotes morals you'd approve of, look no further" —Author and speaker Priscilla Shirer

Each daily devotion is a page and a half long, easy to read and right on for the things they face today. Not edgy or over the top in any way but applicable really to anyone. Each day has a devotion, a short prayer and here and there are steps to practically apply one day's topic or a related activity to try. There's no pictures but there are cute little doodles, and there is some color used throughout. I am very impressed with this and my daughter is excited to read it. I received this book from Harvest House for the purpose of an honest review. My opinion is my own. Thank you Harvest House.

Teaching our children to follow Christ must start in the home. Yet sometimes it’s a struggle when all of the teaching opportunities seem to be routine. We try so hard to live our faith as an example, but sometimes my girls just want to talk or cry a little on their mama’s shoulder. Advice comes easily on some days and on other days I’m reaching out to Jesus to give me the words. Words to help them understand that this life is hard but they are so very loved, despite the hardships of growing up. It’s in these moments that I’m grateful for those who go before me to produce encouraging, Christlike material that influence my daughters’ young minds. To those who share their talents with us moms while speaking truth straight from His Word. This book truly teaches my girls just how present God is in every detail of their lives. From modesty to feeling angry, obedience to being a good steward of their money, gossiping to serving God – this book is written in perfect context to the life of a tween girl. I hope that you’ll join my family in reading For Girls Like You on your own. I’m certain you won’t be disappointed!

Great book! My daughters, ages 9 and 10, are reading and discussing the topics. Very appropriate for the tween age group. Highly recommend.

My girls read a page or two pages everyday and the love to come and tell me the stories that they learn. I think it is a wonderful resource. My girls are 8 and 10 and I try to keep them reading positive material. I would suggest this book for all moms raising 8 to 12-year-olds.
