New York Times bestselling author Rebecca Zanetti delivers a pulse-pounding new read filled with her trademark edge of your seat action in the latest book in her Deep Ops series…

Too quiet.
A talented hacker who got caught, Brigid Banaghan is now forced to work with a secret Deep Ops unit. But she won’t reveal any more to these renegade Feds than she has to. Especially not to Raider Tanaka, her control freak of a bodyguard and handler. It’s enough that his body is tensed for action and his heated gaze is always on her . . .
Too sharp. Raider knows there’s more to his new assignment than he’s been told. Why send a deadly agent of his experience to guard a computer genius—even a gorgeous, unpredictable, undisciplined one? But when Brigid’s estranged father is named in an investigation into Boston’s organized crime, Raider’s mind switches onto high alert, just like his senses . . .
Too close. To clear her father’s name, Brigid needs Raider’s help. The Unit’s idea that she bring a straight-laced Fed in as her “fiancé” won’t fly, though—not unless Raider can release his inner bad boy and become the rebel Brigid can’t resist . . .
Praise for the debut novel in the Deep Ops series

Bridget Banaghan has been conscripted into a deep ops unit as their in-house hacker. To add to her stress, Bridget is also tasked with reporting on them back to their government contacts who are only too happy to threaten incarceration lest she fail the mole assignment. Being part of this quirky team of misfits has been the best job Bridget has ever had including being supervised by agent Raider Tanaka, who sets her heart to beating fast. With Raider posing as her fiancé for a dangerous op, Bridget finds it harder to resist this tightly wound, compelling man. Raider knows something is off with his assignment as Bridget’s handler then things get more complicated when her father is caught up in mob business. Added to that mix, the group has to deal with human trafficking, a sleazy senator, and government agents who think Raider’s team should be shut down. The more time he spends with this extremely smart Irish lass, the harder time Raider had keeping things all business. This is book two in the Deep Ops series so the team’s personalities have already been well established including their boss, Angus Force, who is very left of center as well as his alcohol loving, high heel shoe wearing very strange dog, Roscoe. Each member seems to have their own unique peccadillos that somehow work well together. As a romantic suspense story, readers are in for quite a bit of intrigue, tense situations, and time spent with some really nasty characters.

Fallen, Rebecca Zanetti’s second book in her Deep Ops series, is an action-packed, thrilling, sexy, romantic, hilarious, romance that entertains on all levels. Zanetti’s writing style is descriptive, making you feel like you are right there with the characters dodging bullets and fighting for their lives. Her prose is quirky and lively, and she doesn’t waste words—so much happens in this novel but the pacing is just right, and plot points aren’t dropped or left hanging unresolved. A lot of multidimensional characters inhabit the Deep Ops world, but each are described, developed, and interact with one another realistically with forethought and nuance to retain their uniqueness. Some of whom are just so funny, but I’ll let you discover them for yourself. Brilliant, cerebral, loyal, and a risk-taking loner far more comfortable in the world of computers, zeros, ones, and writing code than interacting with people, Brigid Banaghan may be one of the world’s most skilled hackers. Unfortunately, she is caught by the government while hacking into a secured government server and forced to use her skills for the government on the secret Deep Ops team. Brigid has two weaknesses—a deep need for justice and an inability to resist bad boys. Raider Tanaka is assigned as her bodyguard and handler much to his surprise. A foster child who grew up on the streets, Raider is of biracial heritage—his mother was Japanese. He is a clean-cut, honorable, loyal, deadly, control freak who values honesty and integrity. While he can be dangerous and as bad as it takes to get the job done, he is most definitely not a bad boy and he is not into bad girls. Too bad their minds don’t seem to be in control of their hearts and bodies. The attraction between them is fiery. Brigid and Raider are deeply attracted to each other but for reasons of their own try to resist the pull. Raider suspects ulterior motives are involved with his assignment, but he loves working with the team, and he needs this chance to make up for the screw up that got him sent to Deep Ops in the first place. He’s not going to make waves. Brigid does not trust her shady superiors that sent her to Deep Ops and she’s not sure just yet who she can fully trust on the team. Against his moral compass, he’s keeping details of their missions secret under superior orders. She’s keeping secrets because she’s used to being on her own and relying only on herself. Brigid’s estranged father has connections to Boston organized crime, which the team is tasked with investigating. When Brigid is sent undercover on vacation to her father’s farm with Raider as her “bad boy fiancé” with aspirations of accessing her father’s criminal connections to benefit his organization, the sparks between them fly as they grow closer and learn more about each other and themselves while trying to get to her father and stay alive. Fallen is a crazy mix of humor, steamy romance, action/adventure, covert ops, intrigue, and angst that kept me entertained from the opening scene to the last page. I couldn’t wait to track down the sequel and go back and read the first book in the series, since I haven’t read it. Readers who take a chance on this one won’t regret it for a moment.

This series is so much fun. It has a love of heart, heat, and laughs. I'm a sucker for a rage tag team of alpha males with hearts of gold. can't wait for the next book.

Loved Brigid and Raider's story. When this hacker and FBI agent go undercover to investigate Brigid's father the two clash over if he's innocent. This entire group are great characters and unique. Things heat up between Brigid and Raider as they work together and there is alot of chemistry and steam. Love the secondary characters and really love the entire crew of Deep Ops. A couple of twists make this a great story!

Absolutely love this. It was like watching a movie in my head. It doesn’t follow the basic standard romance pattern which makes it special. The suspense is great and love the misfit of characters. Their descriptions are great and I love the modge-podge of great personalities. Simply riveting from beginning to end.

This book was an interesting and fast-paced thrill ride. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The characters were interesting as was the storyline. I always thought hacking would be so cool...but without the whole "illegal" thing. Lol I received a copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. My thoughts and opinions are my own and without bias.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this series by Ms. Zanetti, and this third book in the series is no exception. For some reason (probably my sour mood tied to the 100+ degree heat day in and day out in Texas in August), I had a bit of trouble getting into this one. The early part seemed to drag a bit to me. But then by about 20%, the action picked up, and I was riveted from there on out. I really like both Brigid and Raider as individual characters, and I love them together. It was also great to catch up with all the HDD crew and get a glimpse into what's coming for Wolfe and Dana. This is one of those series that I have enjoyed so much that I get impatient waiting for the next book. I look forward to binge reading the series as a whole once it's complete. Until then, I'll be impatiently waiting for the next one! Thank you to NetGalley and Kensington Books for providing an ARC for review.

Another fantastic book by Rebecca Zanezzi. So full of suspense, action and humor and then just to make it really crazy she throws in a dash of romance. Not to mention the booze drinking high heel wearing Germany Shepherd. Not saying anything more on that LOL. You will really love her books, get busy reading them. Thanks Rebecca!

This is a fast paced story of a former computer hacker (Brigid) who is assigned to a secret special deep ops unit. Her partner, Raider, is a federal agent who has also been picked up by the unit as well. They go under cover together to try to get information on Brigid’s estranged father who was once involved with the mob and is now a farmer. There is some suspicion that he may be running drugs. This one kept me interested to the last page. I love these types of stories and this is one of the best. This is the second in this series so now I will have to keep my eye out for number 1 and 3. I have voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from NetGalley. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.

This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy. Wow, I could not put this book down as there was so much going on - intrigue, drama, romance! Brigid and Raider are tasked with posing as a couple to check into her father and his connection to the mob. Along the way, there are secrets revealed that Brigid knows will be trouble for her. You kind of know at the beginning that she has to report to Rutherford (an HDD agent) but not til later in the book do you realized the full scope of her spying. Wish there would have been more about Raider's fellow agent who was murdered as far as how they figured out he was a cop. We learn his killer but not how they knew. So many things that I want to comment on but don't want to give away any spoilers! This book is part of a series but you can read it as a stand alone, but really adds more to the experience to have read the others. It has been a bit so I don't remember many details of the first book and I was still able to understand what was going on. If you want more details on Raider's life with Miss A, then the second book goes into his past with the other foster kids but again, not necessary for enjoyment of this book. So hard to wait for the next book to come out as I want to see Wolfe and Dana and then Angus and Naria. I am getting hints that Naria is in the same situation that Brigid found herself - spying for HDD, and I think the other agents are finally seeing that Angus might not be crazy to think Lassiter is alive after all!

This is the third installment of Rebecca Zanetti's Deep Ops series and features Raider and Brigid. I've enjoyed the series because the characters are quirky and there is a lot of action. Between poor life decisions, PTSD, and a dog with a drinking problem, I appreciate that the writer does not make the characters take themselves too seriously. They all recognize they are a little out there and are coping with things in their own ways. Brigid and Raider are an opposites attract kind of matchup that is hot and heavy. They fight, they love, they work together to bring down human traffickers, the mob, and a corrupt politician. And they have fun while doing it.

This book is Brigid and Raiders story! This author makes you cry when her book is over because it leaves you wanting more. Brigid is a computer hacker who gets in trouble for hacking the wrong people. Raider works for the wrong people. Raider and Brigid together set out to end a trafficking ring. You will recognize characters from the previous books. The kitten in the pocket and the alcoholic dog are back also. For Adventure and chuckles read the book!, I read this book as an arc from NetGalley. It gets 5+ stars and more!

Review: FALLEN (Deep Ops Book 2) by Rebecca Zanetti Publication Date: September 24, 2019 Genre: Romantic Suspense Reviewed by: Reading in Pajamas/ Donna Rated: 4.5 Stars This was a wild-ride addition to the Deep Ops series. This band of set-up-to-fail-misfits find themselves in another dangerously convoluted situation. I do love the underdogs, especially this group. They’re each odd yet work so well together. Raider is of course hot, sexy, and alpha. Brigid’s strength is in computers, not people. How those two worked themselves into a sexy-hot romance was fun to read. The action and intrigue pushed the edge of probability, but isn’t that what makes a fun romantic suspense? I think so. It had me on the edge of my seat wondering what would happen next. Danger, violence, romance, friendship, and humor all jam-packed together nicely. *Review copy provided by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. ~*~*~*~

Raider Tanaka, a former federal agent, and Brigid Branaghan, a hacker, have been put together by Angus Force of the Deep Ops unit to work on bringing down an Irish mob boss who took over after his father died. They both have personal ties to the case, though Brigid wasn't aware of her connection. They agree to pose as an engaged couple to ferret out the truth and gain an in on the organization. They get more than they bargained for. Raider has to go deeply undercover to deal with the mob boss, and his life is constantly on the line. But other lives are at stake. And Brigid has a secret that she's keeping from Raider. *** This is the most suspenseful book of the series yet, with breath-stealing, life-or-death situations at nearly every page turn. Everyone (especially Raider) gets badly injured so much it's almost a running joke. Raider is a buttoned-down former fed who is a bad-ass beneath the surface. He's protective and dangerous and sexy. Drunk Raider is hilarious. Brigid is a brilliant hacker. She gets into some dangerous situations that are out of her depth, but she has her own strengths. Fallen is fast-paced, suspenseful, and full of colorful characters. Wolfe is always entertaining, and the Angus/Nari dynamic is fun to watch. Don't miss Raider and Brigid's story.

Brigid doesn't want to her father but if she hopes to prove that he is innocent she will pretend to be Raider's fiancee. There is no way that her father is involved with the Mob and she will do everything to prove that the time is wrong about him. She might not have the best relationship with him so she will pretend to be with raider to find the answers that the time needs. She knows that she needs to keep her head down and report about what the team is doing and she knows that she will lose everything once they find out but she doesn't want to land up in prison forever. But she can't betray the team they have accepted her and she has a new family now.but what will happen when the truth comes out? The trip back home hasn't gone as planned as her father doesn't like Raider and she is kidnapped. But Raider is in with the mob now so she hopes that he can keep her father from being killed. But the lines are become blurred between her & Raider it is complicated now and she knows that the team will find out about her and then she will have nothing. Will Raider make it out alive? A good read. I was lucky enough to receive a copy in exchange for my honest review.

This was a very good addition to the series! I enjoyed the plot, romance, drama/angst, action, and the camaraderie among the team. The pace of the book was spot on. It didn't go too quick and it didn't drag on. Brigid was a good lead heroine. She wasn't bad-A in the typical fighter sense, but she was smart, quick thinking when things went down, and was sensible. I even liked her dad and his protectiveness. Raider was a surprisingly uber-smexy hero. He was protective (but not OTT alpha), sexy, charming, and forgiving. I liked how he defended Brigid when it came to her father, Rutherford, and the bad guys. He really did it for me, which I wasn't sure if he would or not from the previous books. I'm still waiting for Wolfe's story (because I love his crazy a$s!), but this was a great read and I highly recommend this series! Thank you NetGalley for this copy. This is my honest review.

Fallen by Rebecca Zanetti Deep Ops #2 Misfits...or are they? The team working together definitely has interesting backstories. This time Brigid the hacker and Raider the agent are working together to take down an Irish mob. There is s peculation that Eddie Coonan, the new top dog of the mob, has taken up human trafficking and Brigid’s skills are needed to find out where they will arrive. Raider is on a mission that leans toward revenge but he, too, is willing to do whatever it takes to save the girls...and spill the blood of those that killed one of his friends. What I liked: * Raider – definitely a cool customer but HOT, strong and deadly, too. Great book boyfriend * Brigid – smart and capable and perfect for Raider’s * Angus & Nari – dancing around one another and either soon to fall in love or perhaps not * Wolfe and Dana – another couple that may or may not end up together * The sweet coffee concoctions Wolfe brings to the team * Kat – Wolfe’s kitten carried in his pocket * Roscoe – the German Shepherd who likes booze, makeup and high heels * The team * The bad guys being taken down What I didn’t like: * The bad guys..all of them! This was a great book that kept me interested from beginning to end. So glad Raider and Brigid managed their HEA. Thank you to NetGalley and Kensington-Zebra for the ARC – This is my honest review. 5 Stars

Fallen by Rebecca Zanetti Starts with an excerpt and the authors other series works and table of contents and acknowledgements. Hope by reading this I won't be left in the dark as I've not read the other two Deep Ops books. Can be read as a stand alone also! They were able to get Brigid out of the prison to help them with her expertise on the computer. Others are keeping secrets from her about how they think her father, Irish mob affiliates may also be caught... Lots of tactical moves and I also was able to learn a bit about the others in the group-from previous books in the series that I have not read. Raider is under cover as her fiancee and they are to meet her father... Story line reminds me a lot of the Enemy Within on NBC, it's such a cool show... Brigid knows they can send her back to her solitary cell at any time so she works hard at what they want from her. Love this kind of book because there is so much to it: romance/sex, mystery, high crime, locations, action and adventure, technology, tactics used. Like that you hear from each of them so you can get the two sides of the circumstances. Hilarious moments also and an excerpt Broken is enclosed. Received this review copy from Kensington Books Zebra via Netgalley and this is my honest opinion. #Fallen #NetGalley
