Mark Waid and Barry Kitson tell the amazing story of a monarch, not rising to power, but trying his best to hold onto power. The political scheming and backstabbing are just part of this look into the Empire. Waid makes you care about a mass murderer. The multiple twists were all shocking and done well. The art by Kitson is clear, fluid, and dynamic. Overall, a great read!!
