The picures in this book are terrific. There was alot of useful information about ancient Egypt. The format is great, very easy to follow. The illustrated timeline shows us each dynasty using art, weapons, buildings to describe each period from before 3000bc to now.I loved the pages on the Ancient Egyptian Social pyramid showing each class at work from royal family down through peasants and manual workers. The illustrations are very clear and show ancient instruments, means of transportation, pyramids, ruins and mummies. We have come a long way in history books.I would have loved a book like this when I was seven!Simple with lots of information.
