A down-and-out gymnast receives a second chance at success and happiness in the debut feature from director Ned Farr. After being sidelined by an injury, Jane (Dreya Weber) settles into an unfulfilling life. But when she teams with Serena (Addie Yungmee) for an aerial gymnastics act, Jane gets a new opportunity to perform. Along the way, an unexpected attraction develops between the two women. The Gymnast won both the Audience Award and the Grand Jury Award at the 2006 L.A. Outfest and received honors at a number of other gay and lesbian film festivals.

I saw this movie and I must say, it is a delightful love story. The tale of finding your sexuality at any age helps many people open their eyes with the help of The Gymnast's colorful cast and a superb script. The movie is brilliantly directed and is very realisic to modern day love stories and helps the viewers understand what happens when a person realizes they might not be staright after all and how it begins to affect those around them. This movie is a great treat for both gays and straights and is highly recommended.

I don't know who doesn't read the info for a movie before watching it but I enjoyed this film. The visual performances of the aerial gymnastics were really beautiful. A lovely story.

Not a movie for children, despite the name. I saw it and thought "Oh yay, a gymnastics movie for my 9 yr old daughter". UGH, good God no!!!!! This is a gay/lesbian movie, not really anything to do with gymnastics.
