Overview

Alongside Johnny Weissmuller and Lex Barker, one of the most popular actors to portray Edgar Rice Burroughs's ]Tarzan, Lord of the Apes was Gordon Scott, who interpreted the character as intelligent and literate. Scott took most of his turns as Tarzan in the mid-late 1950s and early 1960s; six of those features appear here. Contents include: Tarzan's Hidden Jungle, Tarzan and the Lost Safari, Tarzan and the Trappers, Tarzan's Fight for Life (1957), Tarzan's Greatest Adventure (1959) and Tarzan the Magnificent (1960). Tarzan's Greatest Adventure is perhaps most significant, as it features a young Sean Connery in one of his earliest roles.
