An American girl discovers a love letter that changes her life in this romantic comedy starring Amanda Seyfried and Vanessa Redgrave. The setting is Verona, Italy -- the city where Romeo and Juliet first met. In Verona, there's a wall where the lovelorn leave notes, hoping that Juliet will answer their inquiries about love. Sophie (Seyfried) is part of a team of volunteers who respond to the letters. When Sophie answers a letter from 1957, the woman who wrote it (Redgrave) decides to seek out the one that got away, and romance starts to blossom all around.

Oh my gosh,I loved this show so much and have been waiting so long to watch it on DVD,sure, sounds utter typical romance story like girl meets boy but I think it's more then that.Sophie goes to Verona for a honeymoon with her fiance Victor, who prefers to spend all his time meeting suppliers instead of spending time with Sophie,so S goes sightseeing and comes to the courtyard of Juliet where she sees many women writing letters to Juliet, most of them are crying. She spies a lady taking all the letters and follows her to an office and learns about the secretaries of Juliet who reply to all the letter and send them back.S finds a letter hidden behind a loose piece of stone and it was there for 50 years! she feels the urge to reply and does. She meets Claire, the writer because Claire comes to Verona to find Lorenzo and so begins the long journey filled with laughter and heartbreak, Charlie is so curt and a "realist" as he says.To me this was such a beautiful story with romance and love that transcends time and tells you true love lasts.A show to watch with your girlfriends and your guy.Ready your tissues too!

Letter to Juliet really spoke to my heart. Sophia is right about one thing: Claire needed to be answered. While she helps Claire, Sophia finds her own love story in Charlie, even though she's already engaged. This story is about following your heart, and never giving up.
