Scary Movie screenwriters Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer join forces to parody the "biggest" movies ever to hit the silver screen in this comedy that gives such popular box-office hits as Pirates of the Caribbean and Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe the same treatment that Scary Movie gave to the slasher subgenre. A virtual smorgasbord of spoof, Epic Movie tells the tale of four fully grown orphans: one the victim of snakes that attacked her plane, another raised by a kindly Louvre curator, the third a Mexican "libre" wrestling refuge, and the last an average mutant from an "X"-community. When the curious quartet visits a sprawling chocolate factory, they stumble across a magical wardrobe which transports them to the enchanted land of Gnarnia. It seems that the wondrous fantasy land has recently fallen under the spell of the evil White Bitch (Jennifer Coolidge), and in order to bring peace back to Gnarnia these four bumbling mortals will have to join forces with a charismatic pirate, a painfully sincere group of aspiring wizards, and one particularly libidinous lion.

This was an absolute waste of time. It was corny, uninteresting, and seemeed mroe like a badly put togehter youtube video than a movie. Do not waste your time on this. You will be tearing your hair out after only half an hour.

I absolutely loved this movie! The funny thing is everyone hates it even the critics, but I don't care it's so awesome and the character of peter and edward were really funny. The Willy Wonka scene was great and the Harry Potter scene. I guess I love stupid humor, cause I've seen it 3 times and still think its funny. It's really crude though, so dont let your kids see it. I definately liked this alot better than Scary Movie 4. See it, it's worth it.

This sucked. Though I was not crazy about any of the Scary Movies, this one sucked something fierce. Too many sexual innuendoes and not enough cerebral comedy. Its movies like this that make our society as stupid as it is. I think I chuckled once or twice. It was honestly like a bunch of 8-year-old boys wrote and directed the movie. All of the humor is sexual and/or just flat-out stupid, there were no jokes to get the gears turning, no jokes you actually have to be smart to understand. Anyone in any way affiluiated with this movie should be banished from the film industry for disgracing the good name of comedy. THIS MOVIE IS A WASTE OF CDs. THIS IS ONE HOUR AND A HALF OF YOUR LIFE THAT YOU WILL NEVER GET BACK!!!!!!!!! BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!

The previews made this movie LOOK hilarious, but it was truly a flop. All of the funny parts were in the previews, and the rest was just about as funny as Date Movie, which definitely doesn't say much. How come these guys can poke fun at horror movies so well, but when it comes to romantic comedies, or big-time action flicks, they flop. I don't know, but someone needs to tell them that their new movies are garbage.

This movie was terrible. After seeing the trailor, I wanted to see this, it looked really funny and made fun of some of my favorite movies. I was completely deluded. The whole piece of feces was filled to the brim with stupid, unfunny, overly sexual jokes that failed at garnering a cheap laugh. The entire snore fest was filled with cheap corney rehashed jokes that you could easily find in the Scary Movies which were way better.

Whatever you do, DON'T buy Epic Movie. This may be the most generated CG influenced flick i've ever seen! I only laughed once, and even then felt immature about it. Between Scary Movie 4 and this, you can really only laugh at the filmmakers.
