Brilliant performances in a gripping independent thriller. Devil's Cove is a truly unique story of a lesbian couple Toni ( Christelle Baguidy) and Jackie ( Chloe Traicos) who are fed up with being cloistered in their tiny, seedy redneck town. Both girls have been victims of abuse from the men in their lives and the action takes off when Toni and Jackie finally fight back and kill Toni's abusive husband Rick ( Cameron Barnes) Chloe Traicos is electrifying in her role as sociopath Jackie Mcgann. Baguidy is sweet and vulnerable in her role as the innocent, but silently strong Toni. The directing is fantastic with a real gritty feel to it. The dialogue is good although a little repetitive and while I personally was hoping for a "Thelma and Louise" type ending, this story ends with several clever little twists that the audience do not see coming.
