This movie doesn't follow Jack London's book at all. Characters are missing. Characters not in London's book are in this movie. It doesn't begin in California, rather in Alaska. This movie is not recommended. I was ver disappointed. So was my class after having read the book.

The call of the wild is for children around the also of 12-15. People that would enjoy the wild will love this story. The author¿s main purpose is to share his experience in Alaska using that setting for this fictional story. I would rate the book 4-5 stars. The purpose of writing this review is to let people who want to read this book understand it better. The author was Jack London. London is a very creative writer. The book tells about many different types of dogs to. I loved the story. Buck the main character finally accepts the call of the wild at the end of the story. The book is about Buck¿s conflicts and his transformation from a civilized dog into a dog of the wild.
Buck¿s experience in life as a civilized dog was great though he helped out a lot of people and also a lot of dogs. Buck is the actual hero of the story.
