Duck the Halls: A Robertson Family Christmas

Duck the Halls: A Robertson Family Christmas

by The Robertsons

Christmas releases are a thing apart, and they can march to different drummers, from meowing cats and barking dogs to this entry, a holiday album from the Robertsons, the family A&E's television series Duck Dynasty is built around. Produced by Buddy Cannon, it features versions of traditional Christmas songs and a few family originals done with the help of guests like Luke Bryan, Josh Turner, George Strait, and Alison Krauss, all done with a dose of the down-home humor the show is famous for.

I bought this for my kids because I thought it might turn out to be the Grandma got run over by a reindeer for a new generation! I love it! I also picked up on Nook Duck Dynasty VS The Zombie Apocalypse for the laugh factor and that it was!

This is a surprisingly good CD! I love just about everything Duck Dynasty but those folks can actually sing - especially Missy and Reed Robertson. So as they sing on one of the tracks, "Have a hair Christmas and a happy happy happy new year!

It is a great mix of traditional Christmas songs and some fun new ones. There are some talented singers in the family also. I enjoyed every "song" and Si is hilarious in his song and story. I will listen to some of it all year long.

I thought this was a good CD, as it had a nice mix of Christmas music, traditional, religious, fun and some new songs too. They did a nice job with the performance too. It gets me in the Christmas spirit!
