I absolutely loved this novel. It is a fabulous sequel to the other books in this series. I especially love that the author now includes the point of view from Ethan, which is very exciting. I love the build up to the climax and the big reveal at the end of the novel. I highly recomend this novel!

Great continuation of this series. Ethan is even more swoon worthy as he develops. The story moves at a nice pace and so many questions are answered.Of course, more questions come up and leave you crying out, "When is book 4 coming?" The story weaves beautifully between Nara and Ethan's romance, the struggles they have with outside forces, and their own growing powers. Nara,by in large, continues to be a great heroine that you don't feel the need to slap.  Michelle's writing continues to improve and her imagination takes the mystery to a great new level. It is nice to see a lot of the changes in the two principle characters and how they conduct themselves. So many of the great things that I would love to comment on and too spoiler-ish. Let's just say I will soon be stalking the author's facebook page to see when book 4 will be available! No matter how soon it is, it will definitely be a painfully long time to wait.

First of all I love this series. I was on the edge the whole time reading Destiny. It starts out with Ethan having amnesia after being in a car accident thus putting trouble with Ethan and Nara relationship. Personally I love Ethan but Tristan is so yummy also. A lot of questions are answered from the start of the series and new discovery's are made but then the book is left with a cliffhanger where you shout omg and anxiously await for book 4 and happy that there is another book to the BKOD series.

I rarely read YA Paranormal these days, but make exception for a few series/authors. The Brightest Kind of Darkness series is one such exception. I was very excited to start Destiny, and to continue Nara and Ethan's story. When I began this series a few years ago, I had no idea that it would spin into such a big, elaborate paranormal tale. This was heavily expanded in Destiny. I'll admit, I think there's something wrong with my brain these days, I have a harder time concentrating, because I didn't follow all the twists and revelations as easily. This is not a complaint about the story, Michelle has created an interesting and unique tale. What I did follow, and boy did I eat this up, was Ethan and Nara. Wow, what a great couple! Not only are they dealing with life and death issues, but are also navigating young love, and all that encompasses. There's the emotional aspect, with trying to handle all the emotions that falling in love entails, the doubts, questions. And the physical. Nara and Ethan are bonding in a way that heightens all of the physical aspects as well. I love how the author handled this, giving them a level of heat that keeps it realistic, but also handling it really tastefully. Not gonna lie, Ethan is one hot man-child, so, well done there. Destiny is a great addition to The Brightest Kind of Darkness series. And with the way it ended, I can't wait for more. Favorite Quotes: "I meant what I said that night by your car, Nara. This is my heart. Mine to love. Mine to cherish. I love you. I'll always love you. You make me better than I am." Excitement and sheer joy thrum through me, but when Ethan leans over and presses a kiss where his hand had been and whispers, "You make me whole," tears trickle down my temples. Ethan bends close and whispers in my ear, his voice gruff, "I remember everything, Nara. Every breathy sigh, the curve of your back, kissing every bruise, waiting until dawn to untie the bow on your bra, and being in awe with how beautiful you are when I saw you for the first time. I remember wanting you so bad my body ached the next morning, and how leaving without kissing you awake was one of the hardest things I've ever done."

This book is way better than i thought. There were so many twists and excitments that I never would have thought. But the best part was the end of the book. Ethen asks Nara a cliff hanging question?!

Initially, when I got this book, I thought that this story was the last book in the series. And then the end came. It’s wasn’t wrapping up. My heart just raced even more as I closed in to the end. And man oh man. When I was done, I could not believe it. Plot: Never fear. This plot is so freaking awesome! It is successful in it predecessor never wavering in the plot, drawing the reader so close you can feel fate watching you…waiting…. I don’t know how else to describe other that this book swept me off my feet. Love: Even though things get rocky, this is the part that kept me tied down to the book the most. It’s literally a tug-o-war with couple. So many elements and people are against them. When I read parts of them getting closer only to get separated again…GEEZE! I wanted to pull my hair out. It nevertheless, only made me stay deep into the book, paying close attention to details. Because despite the couple drama, I just knew there is something bigger at play. Ending: The ending is damn near perfect. I mean, WOW. I finished the book close to almost 2AM and couldn’t even sleep. My mind was running, I wanted to rant, but most of all, I couldn’t not wrap my head around that plot. It was pure genius. This series is seriously explosive. Each book is better than the last. The characters grow nicely and the plot thickens to something that you won’t even expect nor imagine. A ripping adventure that is sure to knock you off your feet, Destiny is amazing!

I really love the story of Ethan and Nara. Filled with the paranormal and many enticing scenarios, their story holds readers captivated from start to finish, and that’s true for all the books in the series, including this third installment. In the first novel, Brightest Kind of Darkness, we meet Nara as she battles fate, and it’s an amazing ride. Then, in Lucid, swoon worthy Ethan disappears, and it’s a whirlwind adventure for Nara as she attempts to decipher the truth about herself and Ethan, especially the sword tattoo that showed up on Ethan’s body one day. While the first two novels have been somewhat shrouded in mystery, and even events within book three leave some stones unturned, Michelle does a great job tying up many loose ends and explaining the bond between Ethan and Nara, setting the stage for the fourth and final novel, which I can’t wait to release. At the end of Lucid, Ethan finally returned from his “parents’ house,” a much awaited event on the part of both Nara and myself. The best part is that Ethan comes in with guns blazing, and he’s even more fierce and swoon worthy this time around. Although it is apparent that Ethan wasn’t actually at his parents’ and that he’s learned a lot over the past month away, it takes a while for his whereabouts and mission to be made clear in Destiny, especially as Ethan suffers from brain trauma in the very opening of the book, leaving him with memory loss that further shrouds his actions in mystery. And yet, as he begins to remember and yearns to be with Nara, it’s the perfect romance. I just loved the way that Michelle sets up her novels. They are always captivating, and I love this paranormal world that the author has created. If you haven’t yet read any of the books in the series, I highly suggest you do.

I absolutely loved this book. I could not put it down!! The author did an amazing job to continue to build the characters. Ethan and Nara make your heart go out to them and realize that destiny and fate are connected and show you if you believe in love it can be awesome if you hold on tight! I can not wait to read the next edition in the series.

I have fallen in love with the BKoD series. Destiny is my favorite book by far. I am glad most of the important questions are answered regarding Nara and Ethan. And P.T Michelle really turned the heat up on those two! I love the chemistry between them. Can't wait for book 4!

Rating: 3.5 Stars Steam factor: Mild ***This review contains spoilers*** First off when I started this series I was expecting a trilogy then found out about the possibility of a fourth book; to be honest I wasn’t jazzed about that but went along with it. I was also frustrated with the constant delays with the book; for me it kind of took some of the excitement out of the release. But with that said I did enjoy the book and will read the fourth (please let that be the final) but I did not enjoy this read as much as the others. Destiny on a whole was a much more complicated book terminology wise and it weighed down the book; so much so that they have a glossary of terms at the end of the book as a cheat sheet. In addition to all the terminology we had two love triangles, lost memories and additional side stories. We also lost a good character in the book that I hope come back in the fourth; not as a love interest but as a positive influence and strength to Nara and Ethan. Finally, this book leaves us knowing what/who Ethan is but the cliffhanger is what/who Nara is? Overall I enjoyed the book ever though I did have to reread parts as I went to get the terms/situations straight; I hope the next isn't bogged down like this one was. We’ll see what four has in store; I’m hoping for a conclusion in the story.
