This is the lowest I've ever rated a J.D. Robb book. I found this one tedious and hard to read.

Another great book. Having 30 years as a Cop, love these books. Wish I had an Eve Dallas at my department.

Not as good as her others.

This is ok. Not one if the best but worth the read to continue the series.

If this had been the first in her In Death series, it would have been my last. Forced myself to finish it, to be honest. Hope it’s not a sign of books to come.....

Nora Roberts always satisfies. Her stories have interesting, believable plot development, fun dialogue between sympathetic characters, and excellent scene setting. Of her many amazing books, though, I found this one easier to put down. The plot not as captivating, the characters not really growing through the story, but staying in their prior developed status. I love the characters, and the interplay between them is entertaining, but maybe due to series length, the ability to grow them is shrinking? It still makes an entertaining read, though, by a talented author. I can always grab a Roberts/Robb novel and know I will be satisfied.

I have read all 46 of the Death series books. I was extremely disappointed with this book. It was either a rush job or someone else wrote this book. Just not up to Nora Roberts standards .

Love this series but I think it's time to switch it up a bit. Every book Dallas catches the case on the 2nd victim. Try as hard as she can she can't stop the 3rd from going down to but she always gets them on the 4th. I was waiting for a good fight between Rourke & Dallas but surprisingly there wasn't one this time. I love this series. I love these characters but it needs some changes to refresh it a bit

Having read all the books in this series I have noticed that the last few books are not done in her usual style. I agree with the other reviewers , I think she is getting tired of this series. It was an ok story but not done in the exciting writing style you expect from her.

This was my least favorite of her books. It was dull. Very unusual for this author.

In the middle it got a little thick with psycho babble. The end was not as strong as usual.

I am a huge fan of the JD Robb books but ended up scanning instead of reading this book. I did not care about the crimes. I didn't even care a out the victims. There was very little about the relationships between Eve and the other characters which is the big reason I usually love these books. I am already looking forward to the next book and hope I am back to enjoying the "In Death" books.

Wasn't the best. I have read all the In Death series and this is not her best. Not one I would read again.

Not her best. Nora's gotten formulaic. She's a better writer than this book portrays
