About the Author

Hans and Margret Rey created many books during their lives together, including Curious George, one of the most treasured classics of all time, as well as other favorites like Spotty and Pretzel. But it was their rambunctious little monkey who became an instantly recognizable icon. After the Reys escaped Paris by bicycle in 1940 carrying the manuscript for the original Curious George, the book was published in America in 1941. More than 200 Curious George titles followed, with 75 million books sold worldwide. Curious George has been successfully adapted into a major motion picture and an Emmy-winning television show on PBS. www.curiousgeorge.com.

The story is good, the characters familiar but frustrating to read with a young one because the download comes in poorly. Pages are repeated as blank text pages after the reader has seen the illustrated page with the text.

I purchased this book for my son and it was so poorly converted to Nook. Duplicated text (every other page) - a page spread appears twice and the format is vertical not horizontal like the other kids nookbooks. Don't waste your money.

I bought this book for my daughter for 99 cents. She not only loves the story, but enjoys trying to make paper airplanes using the instructions included in the back of the book. This book has paid for itself in entertainment value. Plus, who doesn't love Curious George?
