Lies, deceit and murder ran rampant throughout the city of Atlanta. Real and his lady, Constance, were living in the lap of luxury, with fancy cars, expensive clothes and a million dollar home until someone close to them alerted the feds to their illegal activity.
At the blink of an eye their perfect life was turned upside down. Just as Real was sorting things out on the home front, the head of Miami's most powerful Cartel gave him an ultimatum that would eventually force him back into the life he had swore off forever. Knowing this lifestyle would surely put Constance in danger, he made plans to send her away until the score was settled but things spiraled out of control. Now Real and Constance are in a fight for survival where friends become enemies and murder is essential. Atlanta's underworld to Miami's most affluent community—no stone was left unturned as Real fought to keep Constance safe while attempting to regain control of the lifestyle he once would kill for.
From the city of Atlanta to the cell block of Georgia's most dangerous prison, life under the City Lights would never be the same.

Wow! this was my first time reading from George Hudson, not too sure why ive been putting it off, but im glad that I took the time to move this book up on my list to read. I really enjoyed this book. Reading the book I went through some of the motions with the characters, I was shaking my head, cursing some of them out so thats how I know the book was a good one. The book deals mostly with the main character Real, who is just living the life in ATL. He is very well off with expensive clothes, million dollar house, various cars to choose from and of course he has his very special woman who is willing to ride or die for him. Of course Real is dabbing into a bit of illegal activities and feels he is doing everything right by being low key and only trust very few people and trying to keep his hands clean while in the game. That is until someone unsuspected doesnt follow one of the rules in the game... NO Snitching. When Real finds out that someone is talking is it too late for him? Out for revenge on anyone who has done him wrong, Real is ready to bring back the "old" him and do what he has to do in order to avenge a lot of things that has gone wrong. From the streets to the cell nothing will be left unturned. This book was fast paced, I read it in two days I just needed to know what would happen next and what the outcome would be. I couldnt believe how easy it was for the snitch to do do what he did, but as we all know Karma is always lurking so does the snitch get what they deserve? Real and Constances relationship waas such a good one. It surely wasnt the typical relationship thats shown in books, and she was all for her man a true definition of a ride or die chick for her man. The love they have for each other is nice i think these two are one of my favorite couples. I did see some small minor editing issues nothing too major that took away from the book but like a sentence wrong word a few times or like levaing out a word like it said "so you finally made, huh?" left out it. Just really small stuff here or there but again didnt take away from the story and I enjoyed it. I dont want to say too much but if your looking for a story that is fast paced, full of drama, lies, deceit and betrayal then this is the story to read! I will be reading part 2! **Nook Readers**

The A! Real and Constance are a power couple. Real has made a very good living for himself in the drug trade and his legitimate business, the G-Spot, an upscale strip club. By his side, Constance is making a name for herself as a realtor dealing only with high-end real estate. In an attempt to get Real out of the way, Constance is kidnapped and everything goes terribly, terribly wrong from there. Emphasis on the superficial and superfluous - big booties, comparisons to actresses like Lisa Raye and Lauren London, exotic features, green eyes, light brown eyes, wavy hair, expensive foreign cars, and million dollar mansions ¿ yep, it¿s all here in George Sherman Hudson¿s ¿City Lights.¿ Add drug dealers, some strippers and Italians and you have a very typical street tale. ¿City Lights¿ was almost a very typical street tale but managed to stay afloat with a good storyline, underlying subplots, interesting characters, good pacing and just enough drama/action. Murder and mayhem, greed and betrayal, love and lust, lies and distrust keep readers intrigued. However, also typical of many books today, there were editing issues ranging from lack of punctuation to word confusion (to/too, was/were). Though overridden by the obvious, what was good and the potential of more saved this read. Not one for sequels (just say no to sequels!), I am looking forward to seeing what happens next. My suggestion for the author/publisher is to seek the assistance of a good and qualified copyeditor and to do away with the trite clichés. There was a good story here, stick with that and leave the unnecessary behind. And one more thing¿I don¿t know what this book¿s title had to do with anything. Well, two things¿the synopsis didn¿t quite match the story either. Reviewed by: Toni3.75 stars

I was gifted City Lights by one of my Nook friends and i sat on the book for three whole months before i could sit down and read it. From the first page City Lights had me on the edge of my seats with all the fast paced, nail biting and shocking revelations. The book followws the main character " Real and his wife Constance. Hes living the life with money ,cars and respect. The book takes a sudden turn and before you know it friends turn to foes, bodies start to drop and everyone becomes deeper than ehen they started. The book was a major page turnet and it kept me eanting more. I never had to eonder what happend to a character because every charactet waskepted up with. I will be reading the remsinder books in this series.
