There are three chicken sisters that love to bake, sing, and knit, and though none of them are very good at these tasks, they love to do them and praise each other. The neighbors do not like the sisters until they see the sisters have been so nice to the new wolf in the neighborhood that scares everyone, that it scared the wolf off out of town. The neighbors soon appreciate the chicken sisters and do not complain anymore.
This is a story about three chikens that live together. The oldest chicken is Violet and she loves to bake. The middle chicken is Poppy and she loves to knit. The youngest chicken is Babs. Babs cannot hear very well but she loves to sing. All of the neighbors get annoyed with the chicken sisters because they are too loud, messy, and cause too much smoke in the neighborhood. One day a wolf moves into the neighborhood and he scares all of the neighbors. When he visits the chickens they are kind to him and he does not scare them. At the end of the story the chikens invite all of the neighbors over for a party and the wolf moves to Atlantic City to live with his mother.
This book is about three sisters who all have their faults but none of them complain to each other. The only ones to complain about their behavior is their neighbors until a mean wolf moves into the neighborhood. The wolf scares everyone and when he decides to pay the sisters a visit, is something he wishes he would have never done. The sisters scare the wolf away and then the neighbors don't complain anymore.
This is one of the best children's books I've ever read in my life. I LOVE it. I bought 3 so far¿ one for my niece, one for a friend, and one for myself. The story is just as clever as the illustration. The whole thing is so much fun. It's impossible to get tired of.
