About the Author

A small-town girl at heart, Kelly moved from the city to open a cheese shop with her husband in Northern Ontario. When she's not neck deep in cheese or out hiking, you can find her, notepad in hand, scribbling down one of the many plot bunnies bouncing around in her head.

She laughs at her own jokes and has been known to eat her feelings-Gummy Bears heal all. She's also an incurable romantic, devouring romance novels into the wee hours of the morning.

I read this whole book in a day! Couldn't put it down. It was hilarious, heartbreaking and fun all wrapped into one. I rarely laugh out loud while reading, but this one accomplished that. Loved it!

This book has one of the best first chapters I've read in a looooong time. The heroine has a fresh, hilarious voice that had me laughing out loud so many times in these opening pages. Her perspective and gift for a turn of phrase brightened every corner of this book. This was a cute love story between two backpackers confronting a host of issues that face twentysomethings today, making this a perfect example of the NA genre and why it is distinct from both YA and adult. They're out of high school, they're on their own exploring the world, but they have responsibilities to their families too and are faced with big choices about their career and education. I was looking forward to the New Zealand setting in this book and Siskind didn't disappoint: she captured the social dynamics of the backpacker scene as well as the physical landscape of the country, and yet the focus remained on the story so it didn't feel like I was reading a guidebook, which is the trap many travel-centered novels fall into. I have to say, I've never been a fan of the clumsy-girl trope, but Siskind makes me understand for the first time how it can feel utterly genuine and endearing. I adored Nina and her commentary on life, ("Please God, let it be Priapism.") and (The girl was made out of so many sharp angles, she would have looked right at home in a protractor case). My one drawback for this awesome book is that I wanted The Public Speaking Incident to come out as part of the story, instead of being told separately like it was. It made the balance of the ending a little odd, just when I was enjoying Sam and Nina...well, let's not spoiler here, but the ending is really darn cute and it was cracking me up. This story was the definition of pleasure reading, and I can't wait for more from this author!

Admittedly, I've started and set aside more New Adult books than I've finished. I always *want* to love them, but end up wishing the book was YA or a different brand of romance. (My own issues, clearly.) Not so for Chasing Crazy! This has a great balance of heart, humor, and adventure. Two hurting people find each other while traveling in New Zealand--among some unique personal conflicts that did not feel overdone or cliche. This book has a few graphic sex scenes; I note this only because I tend to read romances on the sweeter/closed door end. (Jill Shalvis and Molly O'Keefe are about as steamy as I read.) This is probably "medium heat" in the romance world. A great NA romance overall.

I binge-read this book in a day because OMG it was SO FRIGGIN' GOOD! It was funny, and sexy, and endearing, and I just loved everything about it. The heroine, Pininfarina aka Nina, was just a walking disaster-magnet. She provided so many LOL moments, but I loved watching her come into her own during the book. And Sam, the hero, has a tragic past but was the perfect swoonworthy hero. I loved watching Sam and Nina fall in love and overcome their insecurities together. And as a travel junkie myself, the setting in New Zealand made this book even more fun. It's early in 2016, but not too early for me to say I think this will be one of my favorites for the year! Chasing Crazy is crazy good! :)

Such a sweet romance! What a totally enthralling debut! The humor, oh gosh, I thought that I was going to have an accident.. A few times! Lol! Then there are the moments that you have tears rolling down your face.. not only from the laughs, but the feels from deep within your heart also. Ms. Siskind makes us feel every emotion possible, while throwing angst in the mix, and of course hotness with the sweet romance. ;) This is a must read!!

I'll give you a heads-up before you start reading the first chapter of Chasing Crazy. Make sure you visit the ladies’ room first. I don't think I have laughed this hard in a long time. Pininfarina (Nina) and Sam had me at the first chapter and I could not put this book down. Nina is an awesome female character and Sam is the gorgeous, sexy guy you can't help but give your heart to. Nina is a walking disaster. She gives clumsiness a new name. After Nina's latest catastrophe, known as the "Public Speaking Incident", it was the last straw of her lifelong humiliations that has tanked her reputation. That's when she snapped. Went home, packed, wrote her parents a note and got on a plane for New Zealand, a place as far away as possible from her disaster-magnet life she lives in Toronto. Nina figures she can reinvent herself by going to the other side of the world, backpacking in New Zealand. Sam hasn't been the same mentally and physically since the accident a year ago. The accident that took his carefree lifestyle, football, his girlfriend and his mom's life from him and left him one very messed up guy. Sam also figures backpacking through New Zealand might help him get the fun, cocky guy who used to rule the football field and turn girls on back. Sam needs to be that person again. What Nina and Sam find is each other and their love is the power to overcome the walking disaster-magnet girl and the messed up guy. What starts out a trip for Sam to cut loose and get laid after a year of no hook ups, becomes a life-changing realization after he falls for the girl who is funny, clumsy, sexy and sweet, who makes him laugh and feel again. For Nina, who is ruled by her phobias and accident-prone, the trip becomes about finding the guy who teaches her to embrace herself and chase the crazy. Nina and Sam's story has everything that I look for and love in a New Adult Romance: humor, a heroine who’s strong and witty. A hero who is strong and sexy. A storyline that will have you laughing and crying, character growth, romance that is touch-your-heart beautiful and steamy hot. I highly recommend Chasing Crazy as a must, must read.

What a read, I absolutely loved it! It is an amazingly sweet romance with a lot of humor and I must say Kelly Siskind writing got me blown away. This book is fabulous, it made me laugh and I certainly felt the connection between the characters, their emotions, what they went through, it all surfaced. Nina is a girl that decided to drop school and get herself on a journey to New Zealand to forget everything she was going through. Then she meets Sam, a guy that is running away from home as well and from his accident. They decided to travel together and throughout their traveling they start to get to know each other and fall in love. Their story is a roller coaster because they aren’t perfect; they both have a past and insecurities, which makes this story so beautiful. I am certainly going to be reading more of this very talented author, I truly recommend you reading this book.
