This is a terrific book that brought back so many memories of Peanuts comic strips throughout the years. It's a huge book, so plan on reading a few pages or a section at a time. It's great way to start or end the day laughing.

My husband is the biggest Peanuts fan I have ever known so when I saw this book, I knew he HAD to have it! In his words, "Besides the Bible, it is the greatest book he has ever had." This is a must have for any Peanuts fan!! Hearing my husband laugh out loud while reading some of these was worth every penny!

I was able to get this volume with some B&N coupons they sent me, and it is the greatest Peanuts book of all time, a priceless reference encyclopedia to the strips. This volume has over twice the strips, the pages, and the color Sundays as the previous big 50th Golden anniversary book had. This has 500 pages, pretty evenly divided by the five decades, with a hundred pages for each decade, meaning ten pages for each year (averaging four strips per page), or over a tenth of all Peanuts comics! Just a big, gorgeous, beautiful book.

I'll be the first to admit I can't pass up anything Peanuts and Schultz related. I've got Peanuts books all over the place and many things with images of Snoopy on them. That said, this is a real must-have if you love Peanuts. All in one beautiful volume you get a great overview of the span of Peanuts history. You can see the evolution of Schultz' wonderful characters and the rise of Snoopy as a main character and vital piece of this wistful, funny and thoughtful comic strip. Schultz redefined the comic strip and made possible the world for those who came behind him with strips like Doonesbury, Bloom County, Calvin and Hobbs, Garfield and many others. This was a Christmas gift to myself of sorts as I had a great discount coupon (B&N membership can pay for itself!). Still I would probably have bought it at the regular price. It's a beautiful slip-cased volume and worth having if you love Peanuts.

As a long-time collector of Peanuts, this is one of the nicest volumes ever assembled. When compared to other anniversary editions (starting with the 25th anniversary to the present), this one stands out from the others. It has all of the quality features one would expect in a volume double the price - rich paper stock, a beautifully finished slip case, and a wonderful selection of the strips included in the book.

60 Years of Peanuts Fun and Laughter. This massive 60th Anniversary collection celebrates Charles Schulz's beloved comic strip, "Peanuts," through the years from its inception in 1950 until the final strip in February 2000, including both black-and-white and color strips. The book is divided into sections by decade, and at the beginning of each new section is an overview of the decade.Quotations from Schulz pepper the pages throughout. Peanuts fans will take special delight in this unique book, the only downsides of which are the substantial weight and oversized dimensions of this hefty tome!

This book is a must-have if one is a Charles Schulz fan. I have been a Peanuts fan since the 1960's. I still have my little collection of Charles Schulz paperback comics that cost 40 cents each. The book is loaded with many wonderful memories of Charlie Brown and Snoopy. The price of the book is worth its value and more.

I have many books of the Peanuts Gang, but this one is the absolute best! It's like a Tomb, choked full of the Peanuts Gang comic strips. Throughout the book Charles Schulz gives you a retrospect as to why he wrote some of the comics at the time he did. If the Peanuts Gang is a favorite of yours then this is a must have for your collection. This book is very fitting for Snoopy's 60th Birthday!!

This collection of key cartoons from the Peanuts series over 6 decades is a wonderful tribute to Mr. Schultz. It shows the development of the strip and its characters in a very friendly format. It is a book that is to be read slowly, enjoying each year or two at a sitting. I would recommend it for any Peanuts fan, even the casual reader.

Fantastic summary of the Peanuts history. Chapters are split by decade, pointing out the highlights. If you don't have the full anthology, this is a great buy.

It's been 60 years for Peanuts & my mom is the BIGGEST fan! I was raised on Peanuts. I've been able to recite Linus telling Charlie Brown what Christmas was all about since I was 2 years old. Being an artist myself, I've studied the history of Peanuts. You just can't learn enough about it! Plus, you find more comic strips.
