"Charming, witty, and winning...[A] delightful sequel."
Norton charmed even the most avowed cat haters in the bestselling THE CAT WHO WENT TO PARIS. Now, in Peter Gethers' and Norton's further adventures, the extraordinary feline with the great Scottish Fold ears, is hightailing it to the south of France--and making pit stops all over the globe (with his favorite human, of course). Along the way, Norton and his human companion face change and learn to understand the problems and the pleasure that come with growing up and growing older together. Like its predecessor, A CAT ABROAD is funny, touching, and wise.

'Cat Abroad,' is a very funny cleaver written book. Peter Gethers is a great writer and this book is excellent. All his books with the adventures of his cute and endearing cat Norton I highly recommend . It's a must read for cat lovers.

Wow! It was wonderful to read the further adventures of Norton. Without question, Norton captures the hearts and minds of all who meet him! His name should have been 'Your Majesty!' He took his subject, Peter Gethers, to the most exciting and exotic places! Norton will definitely warm your heart and tickle your funny bone. I look forward to the final Norton story (and hopefully will not have to wait too long)!

I loved this book almost as much as Gethers's first book about Norton, The Cat Who Went to Paris. It's hard not to feel jealous of the author: not only does he spend a year in beautiful Provence and tour other parts of Europe, he gets to travel with his beloved and unique feline friend. At times, the entire book seems like one long digression, and occasionally the writing is a little sloppy (it seems like less revision was involved). But I'm picky about that kind of thing, and I really enjoyed the book overall. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone interested in cats and/or Western Europe!

I cracked up continually reading this book. I'm a cat nut, so it doesn't hurt..but Peter's beautiful descriptions of a year living in France was wonderful in and of itself, let alone the many cat adventures along the way. I treasure all of the Norton books.
