George and Harold, and their doubles, Yesterday George and Yesterday Harold, have a good thing going. Two of them go to school, while the other two hide in the tree house and play video games all day -- then they switch! But it turns out there's something rotten in the state of Ohio, and it's smellier than a pile of putrid gym socks. The boys' malicious gym teacher, Mr. Meaner, has created a method of mind control that transforms their fellow students into attentive, obedient, perfect children. Now the future of all humanity is in George and Harold and Yesterday George and Yesterday Harold's hands!

About the Author

As a child, Dav Pilkey was diagnosed with dyslexia and ADHD. Dav was so disruptive in class that his teachers made him sit out in the hall every day. Luckily, Dav loved to draw and make up stories, so he spent his time in the hallway creating his own original comic books.

In the second grade, Dav Pilkey created a comic book about a superhero named Captain Underpants. His teacher ripped it up and told him he couldn’t spend the rest of his life making silly books. Fortunately, Dav was not a very good listener.

Dav has gone on to create award-winning and bestselling books for children. His Captain Underpants series has more than 80 million copies in print worldwide and has been translated into more than 28 languages. In 2017, DreamWorks Animation brought the character to the silver screen in the feature film adaptation Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie, and Netflix is now streaming The Epic Tales of Captain Underpants TV show.

Dav’s latest creation, Dog Man, continues to be a #1 New York Times bestselling series with more than 13 million copies in print worldwide and translations available in more than 21 languages. Dav is also the creator of the Dragon series, the Dumb Bunnies series, Dog Breath, and The Paperboy, which is a Caldecott Honor Book.

Dav lives in the Pacific Northwest with his wife.

Most people in Mr. Meaner's position would use their newfound genius brains to end world hunger and bring peace to humanity. But these were the last things on Mr. Meaner's increasingly magnificent mind. Mr. Meaner was still a gym teacher at heart, you see. And as everyone knows, most gym teachers are inherently evil.

"It occurs to me," said Mr. Meaner, "that our recent problems have all been caused by willful and disobedient children. If we are to rectify this aberration, we must proceed with prudence and acumen!"

"I'm not sure what those words mean," said Ms. Dayken, "but I agree one hundred and thirty nine percent!"

"Me, too," said the other teachers simultaneously.

"Then you must follow my every command," said Mr. Meaner. "You must all return to your jobs and go about your business as usual. Nothing is to look suspicious."

"B-but we want to be evil, too," Mr. Rected whined.

"Patience, my dear minions," said Mr. Meaner with a hideous sneer. "There will be plenty of time for that in the days to come!"

I didn't know there was another one. Series has been weird, kind of funny, mostly continued to read the series because of nostalgia. Has its moments but okay.
