My very first comic ever and I loved it! Learning how to read the panels was a tad confusing for me at times, but I got the hang of it eventually. I loved Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel. She is very snarky and I adored her Star Wars references! The fact that she takes her cat Chewie with her into space cracks me up! Overall, a good read and definitely a series I'll be continuing with.

It's certainly a story of transition for Carol Danvers. The artwork was good, and the story was moving at a good pace.

This was just straight up fun. I read it straight through, then was annoyed that vol. 2 wasn't ready yet. As soon as it's available for pre-order, it's going in my cart.

This book fills a void in the comic book universe. A great sci-fi adventure that is fun, interesting, well written and brilliatly rendered by the artist. The support characters are strong and the world this stry takes place in is complex and detailed. All that is good and adds up to mske this a great book. Captain Marvel however is not as solid. Carol Danvers is uneven character who reads both hot and cold. She comes across as spoilt and flakey often flying into a rage at nothing while in the next panel conducting hetself as mature and professional. This leads to some strange expressions on her face and tends to stiffle the fun and comic aspects of the book. If the writers could only write her with more clarity I would have enjoyed this book so much more. An easy 4 stars. Having said that this is still a good book and great for a younger audience and I want to follow this series because of the sci- fi element. A good space adventure is long overdue and despite the flaws with the hero l still liked this book and there are so few heroines out there in the Marvel universe.

in this new series Captain Marvel heads to space and wacky hijinks ensue. I've loved Carol Danvers since the great Kelly Sue DeConnick started writing her and this series is just as awesome as the first one.
