In this delightful story Mommy has a surprise for Caillou: his very own potty! Though initially uninterested, Caillou eventually decides that he wants to be a "big boy" and leave his diapers behind. After several attempts, a few failures, and near misses, Caillou learns to ask for the potty when he needs it and is rewarded with a sense of accomplishment and independence. Written with input from child psychologists, the Hand-in-Hand series of books helps children navigate their way successfully through various key developmental experiences of childhood.

Title: Caillou - Potty Time - Potty Training Series Step 1 Author: Joceline Sanschagrin Illustrator: Pierre Brignaud Published: 7-12-2016 Publisher: Chouette Publishing - Caillou Pages: 24 Genre: Children's Fiction Sub Genre: Games; Friends; Child Development ISBN: 9782897182953 Reviewer: DelAnne Reviewed For: NetGalley My Rating: 4 1/2 stars . Geared toward 3 to 6 year olds Caillou - Potty Time tells the story anyone who has ever had a toddler remembers too well. Trying to teach their child what the p0tty is for and to use it. It is probably one of the few times we will ever have a party celebrating someone going to the bathroom. Caillou is a typical toddler, he wants to please his parents, but it is not as easy as it seems. It will help those in training understand "accidents" happen but with effort and practice it will happen. Just don't forget yourself. Beautiful illustrations by use color to hold the young reader's interest. My rating is 4 1/2 out of 5 stars.
I bought this book for a 2 year old who loves Caillou and who is just starting to try using the potty. She noticed right away that he looked different than the Caillou she watches on Sprout and the parents are different too.
