Maci Bookout was just a normal, slightly overachieving high school girl in Chattanooga, Tennessee. But then she got pregnant, and everything turned upside down. Even as she rose to fame on MTV's hit series Teen Mom, Maci was struggling to balance life as a single teen mom with her own hopes and dreams...all while honoring her own sense of independence.

This is the true story of how she took charge of the unexpected to build a life for herself and her son Bentley, and managed not to go crazy in the process. Because sometimes growing up is an act of will...and Maci's will is bulletproof.

It was great to get a deeper look into her life. You obviously see a lot on Teen Mom but she really opens up about her struggles as a teen mom & how she over came them.

I watched this young lady on MTV. To read her story and see her come out a winner on the other side was a pleasant experience. I wish Maci the best.

Bulletproof is the story of how a young girl was able to overcome having a baby at a young age to the woman she is today. Maci Bookout was just your normal, overachieving teenager in Chattanooga, TN until a certain boy by the name of Ryan came along. It's when she got pregnant that everything changed for Maci. This is Maci's side of the story that you don't see on TV, with her struggles of growing up and raising a young boy by herself while being on 16 & Pregnant and Teen Mom. I have been watching the whole series of 16 & Pregnant, Teen Mom since they started airing and Maci's story has been the one that I have always been cheering her on to do well in life. Dealing with a guy that only wants to be their for his son when it's convenient for him so reminds me of someone from my past as well and I can relate in some aspects to what she is going through. If you want more of a behind the scenes look at what Maci really went through during everything, you need to read this book. I loved the fact that Maci included her personal poems in this book to give everyone a deeper understanding of who she really is as a person rather of someone you think you know by watching them on TV. Thank You to Maci Bookout for writing your side of the story of what really happens behind the scenes that has made you Bulletproof! This book came from my own personal Library!
