She's his muse, his mate, and she's completely off-limits.

He's a jerk, a recluse, and her newest assignment.

Until he broke her heart, Vivianna Lopez loved Logan Reynolds. Five years later, she's an aspiring music journalist and he's the camera-shy lead singer of Logan and the Howlers. Armed with a backstage pass, Vivi's back in her hometown of Reno, nestled in the shadows of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. She must score an interview with Logan to land her dream job - otherwise it's back to Boston, with no scoop and no job. It's just business - at least that's what she keeps telling herself.

Logan still loves Vivi, his soul mate, but there's something even she doesn't know about him: He turns into a werewolf every full moon and a secret organization is hunting down his Pack. Vivi may not have Logan's senses, but she can sniff out that he's hiding something. He knows it's only a matter of time before the truth about him - and his Pack - is revealed. And then he really will lose her.

Paul jogged onstage with my Gibson. I swapped the electric guitar for the acoustic and slid the strap over my shoulder. Amazing that I could be sitting on a cold stool in the hot lights of a open-air college amphitheater with five thousand screaming fans and still feel so damned alone.

I sucked in a slow breath, my fingers instinctively reaching for that first chord. My Gibson was my focus. With her in my arms, everything else faded away.

"I love you, Logan!"

I peered into the blinding spotlight and leaned into the mic. "Love you, too."

The crowd went ballistic. Tonight was my twenty-third birthday, and I was spending it with my alt-rock band, Logan and the Howlers. We were finally starting to see some success. Our songs climbed up iTunes charts as fast as we could release them, and our concert venues were getting bigger without the backing of a big record label. We were busy.

Even on my birthday.

Luke, my twin brother, was waiting somewhere in the wings. After the show, we were going to grab a couple of beers to celebrate, and I'd paste on a smile for my brother. For me, it was just another empty year. As my Pack brothers each found their mates, the one woman he would ever love, the ache for mine grew, but unlike the rest of the Pack, there was no hope of me being with her.

I blew my chance years ago.

Pushing the memories away, I leaned on the stool while the rest of the Howlers vanished offstage for a water break. This was my song. The crowd erupted as I strummed the first chord. "Madness in the Moonlight" was still one of our top selling singles, and a favorite at live performances. My pain on display.

She haunts my dreams.

Shadows of the past.

Ripping my heart down the seams.

No one to blame but me.

I'm a lone wolf now, but I still stare up at the moon,

Call her name, and wonder if she's looking, too ...

I sat back, letting the crowd finish the chorus, wailing the anger and rage.

Madness. Madness. Madness.

Wishing won't change a thing.

Tell that to my fucking heart.

Welcome the pain, feel something.

Got to let her go.

Another verse, another chorus, but as I hit the key change, a familiar scent, clean and spicy like cinnamon ignited my senses. Oh shit. From where?

I was the only member of the Howlers who actually howled. Once a month, the wolf in my soul came forward and I shifted my form, surrendering to the animalistic part of my spirit. And right now the dormant wolf was clawing toward my consciousness, no longer content to rest in the background. Even as a man, my senses were heightened — especially my senses of smell and hearing, but my vision didn't suck, either.

I'd performed this song hundreds of times. My fingers found the chords instinctively, but I almost missed my vocals, stumbling over the next verse while I scanned the crowd. Finally I turned toward the wings.

In the shadows offstage, my brother Luke waited for me ... with a ghost from my past.

I forced myself to face the crowd. This was no time to lose my shit. What the hell was she doing here? I powered through the ending of the song and stood to accept the cheers.

Grabbing the hand mic, I tried not to check the wings again. "Thank you. There's no place I'd rather be for my birthday!"

A deafening roar erupted from the crowd. "Happy Birthday, Logan" signs waved back and forth as my bandmates came out to join me, taking the decibel level even higher. Stryker jogged out, still shirtless, his untamed long hair bouncing with each stride. The guy was a monster on the drums. He raised his drumsticks while Levi, tall and slender, pumped his fist from behind the keyboard.

Levi had a degree in music, and a knack for fleshing out harmonies. Plus he was our de facto social media manager, saving the rest of us from being near a computer. We loved him for that.

And finally Zane hustled out with his bass guitar on his shoulder, waving to fans. He was the "Old Man" of the Howlers. It didn't help that he liked to keep his hair slicked back in a 50s pompadour.

Zane stopped next to me. "You okay, man?"

There was no way any regular guy would've heard it through the roar of the audience, but I caught every word. I glanced at the wings, relieved to see them empty. Maybe I'd imagined her.

Wishful thinking. I'd recognize her scent anywhere.

"I'm good."

I swapped my Gibson for the electric guitar and hit a chord. The Howlers had my back, filling the concert hall with a wall of sound, but I couldn't lose myself in it this time. Any movement offstage had me jumpy and tense. This concert couldn't be over soon enough.

* * *

"Night, Logan." Zane grabbed his guitar case. "Good show, and happy birthday."

"Thanks, man." I dried the sweat from the back of my neck and tossed the towel in my bag.

Stryker was still dismantling his drum set. We could afford roadies to do it now, but he got territorial when it came to his drums.

"Later Stryker."

He looked up, flipping his mop of hair out of his face. "Later. Have a birthday beer for me."

"Will do."

My bandmates had grown accustomed to me being on my own. It was tough to keep secrets from people you care about, so I kept my distance.

I hit the exit, and her scent assaulted me. Luke sat on the bumper of my pickup with Anna standing beside him. Their conversation halted as I came closer. As impossible as it seemed, she was sexier than I remembered, her curves more pronounced in her tight black dress.

Something inside me came unglued. The wolf howled, filling the empty space in my chest where my heart should have been.

Luke hopped off the bumper. He kept his dark hair shorter than I did, and working outside on the horse ranch made his skin a little more tan than mine. But he wasn't wearing his faded ranch clothes now. He looked sharp in his black denim and white T-shirt, trying to impress a ghost from my past.

My eyes narrowed on my brother. "I didn't know we were bringing dates."

He frowned, draping his arm around her shoulder. "Oh, come on. Vivi's like family. Did you know she's staying up in Lake Tahoe right now?"

No, I didn't know. She haunted every dream, every quiet moment. Her face fueled my muse.

And if he didn't stop touching her, I'd go out of my fucking mind.

"Hey Logan."

Her voice was deep, rich and smooth like melted chocolate. She had dark eyes that used to see all the way into my soul. Could she see how empty I was inside now?

I swallowed the lump in my throat and did my best to sound flippant. "I didn't know you were a fan of the Howlers, Anna."

"You don't get to call me that anymore." Her brown eyes flashed. She shook her head and took a step back. "It's Vivi or Vivianna."

Not to me.

Her heart was pounding. I didn't want to hear it. I didn't want to hurt her.

Too fucking bad.

She brushed her hair over her shoulder. "And I'm not a fan. I was here for work."

I needed to touch her. Clenching my fists, I fought the desire. I'd never be strong enough to walk away again. She needed to leave me. Now.

"Were you selling merch?"

Her brow furrowed, her jaw dropping a little. "Seriously?" She shook her head. "Thanks for reminding me what an asshole you are."

"Good to see you, too. I'm going to get a beer." I pinned my brother with a stare. "I'll meet you at Lou's."

Without waiting for an answer, I put my guitar in the cab. I should've gotten in and driven away, but I turned back one last time.

Anna grabbed Luke's hand. My brother turned toward her, and bitterness burned my stomach. Maybe they were on a damn date. The light from the streetlamp glistened on her long black hair, teasing me. Every angle of her face tempted me. I hadn't spoken to her in just over five years, but my hunger for her hadn't faded. Far from it.

"Happy Birthday, Logan." My name sounded cold on her lips, like a dagger in my chest.

What could I say? I broke her heart, but I'd do it all over again if it meant her dreams would come true. Our futures were always headed in opposite directions. I made the right choice.

It took every ounce of my will to get in my truck. I slammed the door and drove away. Longest damned drive to Lou's in my life.

The dive bar was dimly lit, with a pool table in the far corner. The juke box blared "Hotel California" while I nursed my second whiskey, neat. I sat on a stool in the shadows at the end of the counter. The last thing I was in the mood for was some drunk chick to recognize me. A few years ago, I tried to drown my sorrows in fast women and band groupies, but nothing filled the void Anna left behind.

No amount of no-strings-attached sex was ever going to hold a candle to making love to her. Ever.

My brother finally walked through the door. I held my breath, but it didn't open again. Anna wasn't with him. The only trace of her was her scent on his fucking shirt.

"Hey, Logan." We clasped forearms, the traditional Pack greeting. "Happy Birthday."

"Yeah. You, too."

He glanced at my glass. "Moved on from birthday beer, huh?" He took the stool next to me. "What the hell happened back there with Vivi? I thought you'd be happy to see her."

I growled, downing the last of my whiskey. "I don't want to talk about it."

He ordered a beer then turned my way. "She's been staying up at Lake Tahoe with a college friend. I ran into her a couple weeks ago. She's never seen you in concert ..." He shrugged. "I thought it would be fun."

Maybe it was her scent on his shirt, or the way she held his hand as I drove away, but I caught his wrist before I realized what I was doing. My grip tightened like a vise. "You can have any woman in the world. Not. Her."

My final words were more animal than man. Luke's eyes widened, and I let go of him, dragging a shaky hand back through my hair. My wolf was dangerously close to the surface, and the full moon was still two weeks away.

"First, we're just friends, and second, I hate to break it to you, but you don't get to call the shots here." Luke leaned in close. "You dumped her and never even told her why. She waited for you in her prom dress. You humiliated her."

"I was there. I remember."

He groaned. "She hates you."

"She should." My voice cracked as I signaled for another drink. Anything to kill the ache inside.

"Okay, then why threaten me about seeing her?"

I met his eyes, staring at my mirror image. "Because she's my mate."

His jaw slackened for a second as my words sank in. I wasn't sure how I expected him to react, but shoving me back into the bar wasn't it.

"You selfish prick." He shook his head and lowered his voice. "How could you not tell me?"

"What was I going to say?" I took a swallow of my drink. "Anna is my mate, but we're too young? It's complicated?"

"It could have been that simple." He shook his head. "But you didn't trust me to understand." He slammed his hand on the bar. "Our whole Pack blew off the stories of one mate for life. You knew it was true all this time, and you never said anything."

"You don't understand."

"So help me. Why didn't you tell me?"

"Because it was none of your damned business." I pushed the glass away. It wasn't helping anyway. "It was between me and Anna."

"And five years later, she's still clueless. You never told her, either."

I dug inside the pocket of my jeans and pulled out a few bills. Slapping them on the bar, I glared at my brother. "I'm not doing this here."

He caught my arm. "Logan."

I sighed and met his eyes. "Yeah."

"If she's your mate, then she's the only one for you." A crease formed on his brow as he lowered his voice. "You're choosing to be alone ... forever?"

My gut twisted. "I loved her. I still do. So I'm walking away." I yanked free from his grasp. "Just do me a favor and stay out of it. And stay away from her. The sooner she gets out of town, the better."

He glanced at his boots, shaking his head. "Good luck with that."

"What do you mean?"

"She's got a chance for a staff job at Rolling Stone. Her dream job." The bartender set Luke's beer on the bar. He took a swig and tried not to smile. "That's why she came west to stay with her friend. She's here to be the first to get an interview with reclusive indie rocker, Logan Reynolds, from Logan and the Howlers."

Aw fuck.

I ripped my top off and pulled on my faded nightshirt. The bastard had the nerve to assume I was a fan. Like I would ever sell merch for his band. Ugh. I wanted to scream. He knew better than anyone I wanted to be a journalist. I graduated from Boston University, and it sure as hell wasn't so I could sell Howler T-shirts. Bastard.

And to top it off, he called me Anna. I wasn't sure if I was more furious at him, or at myself for loving it.

Would I ever get over that asshole? I'd had three semi-serious boyfriends over five years.

And not one of them ever got to me like he did.

I shoved the memory aside, replacing it with reality. Tonight he'd been a dick to me, but I gave him something to think about. He could probably hide his emotions from most people, but I knew him too well. It shook him when I held Luke's hand.

Good. Let him stew about me dating his brother.

Calling me Anna didn't mean anything. I slammed my dresser drawer closed, right on my damned finger.

I popped my throbbing index finger in my mouth as Madison peeked in my bedroom. "Everything okay in here?"

"No, but I'll live." I sank onto the bed.

Madison was my best friend in our sorority. We both came from blue collar families and worked our asses off getting good grades and chasing down scholarships and fellowships every semester.

A journalism degree from Boston University was far from cheap, and we were surrounded by plenty of affluent peers with entitlement issues. Madison's looks made it a little easier for her to blend in among the elite, with her bright blue eyes and long blond hair. My dark complexion, dark hair, and Mexican last name made it tougher sometimes, but we braved the shark infested social waters together. Finding Madison had been a huge blessing.

She sat beside me. "I'm guessing you got to talk to him? Is he going to give you the interview?"

"Pfft." I groaned. "Yeah, I saw him."

"And?" She nudged me with her shoulder.

"And I didn't even get a chance to ask him about the interview before he took off." I dropped my hands in my lap with a sigh. "He's even hotter than I remember." I met her eyes. "But he also reminded me why I hate him."

"Sorry, Vivi." She patted my leg. "What happened?"

"First he assumed I was a fan, then insulted me when I told him I was only there for work." My tone softened as the truth came out. "He called me Anna." My heart clenched, the memory of his voice echoing through my mind. "I told him he can't call me that anymore, and he blew me off and left."

She leaned back on her elbows. "How are you going to get the interview?"

"I have no clue." I lay on the bed and turned toward her, propping my head up on my hand. "In some romantic delusion, I imagined he'd see me again, beg for my forgiveness, and then make time for my questions so I can get my shot at a staff position at Rolling Stone. He owes me that much, at least."

"Would you have?"

"Would I have what?"

She rolled her eyes. "Forgiven him."

"No." I sat up. "No way. I could never trust him again."

"Forgiving him doesn't mean you'd have to take him back."

"True." I rubbed my face and looked over my shoulder at her. "I guess I still remember who he was, and I can't reconcile it with who he turned out to be. If he would just tell me what happened, I might be able to move on."

Madison stared at the ceiling. "You're not the first girl who got stood up for the prom by some jerk. Maybe he met someone else, or he didn't have the money, or he just got cold feet."

"No. None of those things would've mattered to Logan."

She got up and stood in front of me. "You've got to let this go. You can't keep every great guy at a distance because of this ass who didn't realize how lucky he was to have your heart."

Her older brother was one of the "great guys" I let slip away. I wanted to love Chandler, but when he proposed, I had to face the cold fact that he'd never really touched my heart. It was locked up, and I didn't know how to open it again. It was like Logan walked away and took the key with him.

Madison went to the door. "It's his loss, Vivi, and in the grand scheme of things, your prom doesn't matter."

"It's not about that." I wrapped my arms around my middle.

When I'd met Madison, losing Logan had been a fresh wound. I'd talked shit about him, desperate to make myself believe it. She didn't understand. How could she?

I lifted my gaze. "He was much more than just a boyfriend who dumped me without any warning." Pressing my lips together, I tentatively opened the chest of memories. "We met in the third grade. I had these horrible coke-bottle glasses and got called four-eyes more than my real name. School was rough."

This author is just so cruel to her characters - but I’ve loved reading every story in this series and can’t wait to read more! This is another enthralling read in which so many insights into past character behaviours from earlier novels is revealed, especially pertaining to Logan and his actions. Five years ago he learnt what it means to be a werewolf, saved his twin brother from a sniper and broke his own heart and that of his then girlfriend and prom date, Vivianna Lopez - aka Vivi and Anna. Now he’s a camera shy signer songwriter, performing with his group, Logan and the Howlers and she’s an aspiring music journalist who is trying to interview him. As the two meet again after all the years, their attraction is still there but his unexplained rejection hurt her badly and she definitely hasn’t forgiven him. He knows she’s his one and only mate and, after seeing her again, he doesn’t want to let her go again. However, she doesn’t know about shifters let alone that he’s one - dare he reveal the truth to her or will it just put her into more danger? When she admits to investigating Nero, the stakes go higher as his wolf demands he protects her. Will Logan’s next howls be in sadness or celebration? As well as the romance, the story has the continuing peril to the pack from the Nero corporation, a secret organisation with lethal jaguar shifter assassins and brothers vying for their father’s approval and attention. They are plotting domination, can the pack thwart their plans and keep themselves and the existence of shifters secret? I’m loving this action packed series but have a serious problem - I always want to know what’s going to happen next! I really enjoyed the romance development between Logan and Anna but now can’t wait to know if Logan’s brother will also find his mate soon, poor Luke is really in the doldrums being the only unmated one - please give him his HEA without too much turmoil, Lisa! Thanks to the author, publishers and NetGalley, too, for letting me read this in exchange for my honest review.

My least favorite of this series. I have read all except two, and I already purchased those. I did not think the plot of this book was as good as the others. I did not like the main female character and absolutely hated the name ViVi. Made me cringe every time I read it. Would have been much more pleasant to read Anna instead. I felt Vivi was weak and would not be able to step up and be a true mate. I never changed that opinion all the way through. Did not care a lot for Logan, he just didn't come across as strong as the other males did. I would only recommend reading this one because it's part of the series and then you know what happens to each.

While I love me some Lisa Kessler and Moon series for some reason this one has seem to rip me apart a little more then the others. These poor characters go through so much but yet they seem to come out in the end all the better and more lovable. Logan the rock star and Anna the left behind high school sweetheart get that second change and boy is it good.

We jump back into the Wolf Pack with one of the most famous, yet reclusive, members - Logan. Logan is the front man of the rock group Logan and the Howlers but is well known for not talking to the press, going on tours etc. Of course, some of that is due to the fact that he is a wolf, and some of it is because he is still nursing a broken heart and spirit that came about when his mate left him. Well, his mate was really pushed away from him, by him. The whole story comes out, but essentially, Logan thought he was doing the right thing for 'Anna'. Vivi, as she is now known as, has got her dream job as a journalist, but still nurses a broken heart because of the young love who pushed her away. When an opportunity arises and she sees him again, the spark is still there, the love is still there, but the trust has long gone. This is a wonderful read, full of emotion, danger, intrigue, and romance. The reactions to situations - from ALL characters - is so believable. These are all, honest-to-goodness reactions that I can imagine taking place if these stories were real. Well written, with a steady pace building up to the dramatic climax, with gut-wrenching sorrow and heart-pounding happiness too, Blue Moon is a brilliant addition to the Moon series. Definitely recommended by me. Merissa Archaeolibrarian - I Dig Good Books!

Second chance at love, sexy rock star, strong heroine, fabulous writing…there is so much to love in this book! When a work assignment brings Vivi and Logan back together there’s no denying the chemistry that still exists between these two. And now that Logan has a second chance, he’s not willing to let Vivi go…of course getting past the whole “I’m a werewolf” thing while keeping Vivi safe from the Nero organization makes getting and keeping this second chance a bit of a challenge, but Logan knows he won’t be able to let Vivi go this time. Vivi has lots of reasons to hate Logan, but if interviewing him will help her career as a journalist and maybe even help get her a bit of closure, she’s all in. Even though she knows how deeply Logan hurt her, getting her body and her mind on the same page proved to be a bit of a challenge, but unless Logan could be honest with her, Vivi knows that she would never be able to trust him. But Logan isn’t willing to let her go so easily. I loved Logan and Vivi together. Even as they were trying to find their way back to each other you could feel the love these two shared. It was frustrating at times watching them struggle, especially as Vivi questioned whether she could handle fitting into Logan’s world, but the end result was definitely worth it! And having a rock star sing to you…Vivi was one lucky girl! The threat from Nero added a nice element to the book. Things are really starting to escalate and played heavily into Vivi and Logan’s story. The wolf pack is on high alert and I loved watching the pack pull together to face the threat. And of course setting us up for the next book…I cannot wait for Luke’s story!!! Another fabulous read that had all the emotion I’ve come to expect from Lisa Kessler book. If you haven’t checked this series or any book by Lisa Kessler out, I would highly recommend you do. Guaranteed to give you a case of the feels! #GoWolfPack I received a copy of this book via NetGalley for an honest review.

Logan Reynolds is a rock star with a dark secret. He can't let anyone find out that he, the lead singer of Logan and the Howlers is a werewolf. When Vivianna Lopez, his true love and soul mate, comes back to Reno and wants to interview him. His life takes a dramatic turn. Can he tell her the truth? Logan may have rejected her in high school, but he never forgot her. She is his inspiration and his mate. He just didn't know how to tell her what he is. I wish that he would trust her enough to tell her. Vivi was crushed when Logan rejected her. She tried to convince herself that she hated him, but she knows that's a lie. I understood why she doesn't want to risk her heart again. The pain was overwhelming. I wished that they could start over. Together they have each other's back. They'll need to do that if they are to survive. Damian, a old enemy, is stalking the pack. He wants revenge and he has his eye on Vivi. What happens next kept me on the edge of my seat. The action is non-stop. The suspense never ending. Lisa Kessler did an excellent job keeping me in the dark. The story is filled with unexpected twists. I never knew what would happen next. I loved catching up with familiar characters from previous moon series books. I'm a fan of these werewolves. I received a copy in exchange for an honest and unscripted review.

Logan is the pack's reclusive rock star, pouring his emotions into his music and holding everyone at arm's length. Vivi/Anna/Viviana was his childhood best friend and high school sweetheart until he abruptly left her without explanation and broke her heart. Vivi is back in town as a newly-graduated reporter to get Logan's first interview when a new and more dangerous story presents itself. Of course, as a reporter she chases the potential story and is thrust headfirst into a world that she never knew existed. At the end of the day, the book is about making the hard choice between safety and love. Opening your heart to another opens the potential to pain, but a supposedly safe life without love is like a painting without color. Can Logan set aside his protective feelings and let Vivi into his dangerous world? More importantly, will Vivi/Anna open herself to potential heartbreak and a scary new world? This book was very well-written and included other members of the pack that I've come to know and love from the other books in the series, plus ones we didn't really get to know before (Madison!). I already love the series, but I think that this is the best book yet. I loved how real the main characters were- in their heartache, feelings of chemistry, and uncertainty in themselves.

Like the others in this series there is action, adventure and romance. Logan is a werewolf and the lead singer/songwriter for the Howlers. Though he is loyal to the pack and always comes when called he stands alone and lonely. Now we find out why. Vivianna Lopez. Anna stole his heart when he was just a pup but she is human and he doesn’t want to bring her into his world of danger. But now she is back and he doesn’t know if he has the strength to let her go again. I adored these characters. Strong yet flawed and very real. Blue Moon is a terrific addition to this sweet, sexy and dangerous series.

I do love a second chance at love themes in a book. And this one was very touching. I rooted for Logan throughout the story. He was very sweet and full of regrets letting her go. But he was also selfless in protecting those he cares for. I enjoyed Vivi's character a lot. I was glad she kept up her guard and was not a doormat, despite the explosive chemistry she and Logan had together. The Pack scenes were great as well as heartwarming. I love strong families in books. Logan and Vivi were definitely a couple to root for in their happily ever after. And the ending was major swoon worthy. I received this book in exchange for an honest review from the publisher through Netgalley.

I received an ARC of Blue Moon through NetGalley. Blue Moon is an action packed romance about a second chance at love. Viviana and Logan were childhood sweethearts, then he did the worst by standing her up at prom.....then didn't talk to her again. He had a secret he didn't feel he could tell her, so he left to pursue his music. But as much as he is in the public eye. he keeps him life private. He can't let them know he is a Werewolf, it would put his pack in danger. Viviana is trying to get in with the Rolling Stones. It's important to her. She is sentenced to get an interview with the very man that use to be her sweetheart....Logan. The thing is, he doesn't do interviews. So she finds an alternative, a dangerous story about Government Defense Contracts. Viviana is in danger. Will Logan come to his senses and save her? B. Gillilan

A brilliantly crafted paranormal romance! To describe BLUE MOON by Lisa Kessler as a second-chance-at-love romance does not do it justice as it's so much more than that! It's a wolf-shifter romance, a popular rock star romance, a romance set amidst pack camaraderie and politics, a suspenseful mystery and more! It's perfectly-paced and action-packed with completely endearing characters! This is the story of a wolf-shifter -sexy, reclusive, rock star Logan Reynolds - and his childhood sweetheart and mate of his heart human Vivianna Lopez. They were best friends and evolved into young lovers. They dreamed about being together forever. Then Logan experienced his first shift and panicked, standing Vivianna up at their prom without notice or an explanation. Neither have been truly whole since. He thought he was protecting both his pack and the only love of his life. But, the day he walked away from Vivianna, he died inside. He only allowed his true feelings to come through in his music - and those sentiments resounded with his fans. Vivianna has returned to town as a fresh journalist determined to land an exclusive interview with Logan. But, Logan is close-mouthed to the extreme and never gives interviews. If she succeeds despite the odds, she is assured of a coveted staff position at Rolling Stone magazine. She thinks it's the least he can do after walking out on her breaking her heart. When he's not amendable to the interview, she puts her investigative skills to work and unearths a new story that puts everyone in danger. I loved this couple and catching up with the pack! I like that the story is told from both of their POVs allowing the reader to get into each of their heads. Their feelings for each other felt so right and real and it was a treat to accompany them on their journey of re-discovery. Neither of them expected to be blown away by their scintillating chemistry which has not abated over the years they've been apart. Even so, it's touch and go as to whether Logan will trust his heart and allow Vivianna the choice of whether she wants in his life knowing all the risks. I loved how the pack trusted and supported him. Even though BLUE MOON is the sixth book in Lisa's Moon series, it, and all the books in this series, can easily be enjoyed as stand-alone reads. That said, there are interconnected characters and, honestly, your pleasure would be exponentially increased if you've read the previous books. I'm betting that once you read one, you'll be highly motivated to read them all. Lisa's books are addictive like that. Lisa brilliantly weaves the most amazing stories! I could not put this book down. Since I've read it, I have caught myself doing double-takes at mirrors - you will have to read the book to find out why. While reading it, my heart ached for Logan's brother Luke, and I was going to request in this review that Luke's story be told soon! He's so lonely. Happy Days! That wasn't necessary! I was thrilled to find out that Luke's story is next in the series! WOLF MOON will release in November 2016! I can't wait for Lisa's next masterpiece! WooHoo! My full review is posted at Reading Between The Wines Book Club. Please check it out there!

I received an eARC, from NetGalley and the publisher, in exchange for an honest review. 3.5 stars 'Blue Moon' by Lisa Kessler is book six in the "Moon" series. This is the story of Vivianna Lopez and Logan Reynolds. 'Anna' had been in love with Logan since they were young. Logan took to looking after her when she was younger and they were best friends. Then the night of their prom Logan just broke things off with her and never explained why. Now five years later Logan is a popular singer in a band and 'Anna' wants to do a interview with him that will help her advance in her career. But Logan at first doesn't want to do the interview because he knows if he is near her that his 'wolf' will come out and want to claim her. 'Anna' tries a few times to get the interview but doesn't have much luck. There is another story she could do that would help her career too...but that might put her in danger. I had a hard time getting into this story and couldn't make my mind up about 3 stars or 3.5 stars. I just went with the 3.5 stars in case my personal thoughts were over taking my review. I just couldn't agree with Logan that he made his choice back then because they were so young and that he didn't think he could trust 'Anna' with his family wolf issues. But overall I enjoyed it and loved the writing.

Logan is a man of sorrow and solitude. No one truly knows him; not even his twin brother that he used to share everything with. He is the mysterious, soulful lead singer of Logan and the Howlers – a band that has gained a national following even though they never tour outside the Reno/Tahoe area. He is an enforcer for his pack – one of the wolves who is also capable of using firearms to defend their territory from outside threats. And he and his brother are the last two wolves of the pack who are unmated. But Logan’s sorrow is bigger than that because in one day he met his wolf and discovered his mate then lost her and his best friend. Vivianna (Vivi to some and Anna to others) is a woman determined to face the past that broke her heart and has nearly destroyed her hopes of ever finding someone she loves and trusts like she did Logan. So when she is presented with the professional opportunity to finally confront him and hopefully put him behind her, she takes it. The moment these two reconnect the sparks are still there. The chemistry and sexual tension between them is blistering! But the pack is facing some serious threats and before long, Anna finds herself caught up in the mess and the mystery. Logan must decide if he can trust her, and himself, to save them and the future of the pack. How far will they both be willing to go? This is the 6th book in the Moon series and they truly do get better every single book.

Logan is the lead singer and song writer of his band. Although he is in the public eyes whilst on stage, he keeps to himself and avoids publicity. He is a werewolf and if this was to be made public his life and those of his pack mates could be in serious trouble. He is also pining for his soul mate. He can't move on without her. Viviana/Viv aka Ana is a music journalist. She has known Logan since a very young age and they were childhood sweethearts until he stood her up five years ago. She can't forgive him and intends to move on. When Viv has the opportunity to interview the elusive Logan, she jumps at the opportunity as this could help to further her career. At least this is what she tells herself. Logan is still in love with her but the first attempt at the interview ends in a fiasco because she is still angry with him for walking out on her. She doesn’t know that shifters exist let alone Logan being a werewolf. He is in two minds about revealing his secret to her. He dreads her reaction to the truth and now that his pack is in conflict with a powerful organisation, their lives are in danger. They know that they have a second chance but Viv won't budge until she receives an explanation from him. Does Logan want to bring her in his dangerous world, should she believe him? Viv has another story lined up and when Logan finds out he is determined to protect her. They start making a go at the chance that they have been given but when Viv is faced with danger and violence, she starts having second thoughts. The thing is that they are both still madly in love with each other. Can she be the one to walk away this time? Will Logan be able to let her go? This story is fast paced and has a nice flow. It's full of danger, loyalty, greed for power, love and sorrow. All the characters are well developed. Logan and Viv are ideal for each other. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this novel and would recommend lovers of the paranormal. I received an eARC from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Vivianna Lopez and Logan Reynolds had been childhood friends, then young lovers, until Logan stood up Vivianna on prom night, he didn’t speak to her again and gave her no explanation. Vivi went on to college while Logan pursued his music career. Five years later, Logan has a successful alternative rock band, Logan and the Howlers, Vivi is a journalist. She is vying for a staff position at Rolling Stone magazine, which is extremely important to her, but she has to interview Logan, who usually refuses to talk to the press. Vivi doesn’t like the idea, but decides to try anyway. She is still angry at him after all these years, but deep down, she still loves him. Logan has never stopped loving her, but he never felt he could tell her his secret: he is a werewolf. And now with her being a journalist, what if she exposed Logan and his pack? Their first meeting doesn’t go well at all, but Vivi also has another story on the backburner: She has come upon a serious story on government defence contracts that involve the Nero Organisation; everyone’s life could be in danger… BLUE MOON is so much more than a second chance romance, because there are also Pack politics at work, and a lot of action and plot twists. It’s very fast-paced, and I felt that it was very realistic, even for a paranormal romance. I loved how Vivi reacted to Logan’s announcement: first disbelief, neither hysterical nor mocking, then relative acceptance; I could really relate to her. I also really liked the tone: it’s young, it flows well, and it’s brilliantly written, with very natural-sounding dialogues. The romance felt real, as did the chemistry between Logan and Vivi. BLUE MOON is an excellent paranormal romance with intelligence and heart. I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
