I think this is an amazing book. I bought it because i was tired of going to the gym for hours and not getting the results. This book is great because it tells you everythingyou need to know. I've been following the book for about to months now and the results are amazing. I recommend this book over eveything. Even better than insanity and P90x

I have been working out on changing my lifestyle for almost 2 months now. I have modeled most of my diet and 5 day lifting split using what Mike provided on many of his blogs and YouTube videos. I decided to pickup the book to be able to easily access all of the information and was pleasantly surprised at how much more additional info he had all outlined in the book including the program itself. Needless to say I feel this is the most complete and science backed books available today, and is a steal at about $15. I got it here since it was cheaper than Amazon and was shipped to my door for free by Barnes and Noble. A must have for any newbie to weight lifting or someone who wants a program not only backed by "bro science" or "vitamin S".

Great book, very precise and straight forward.  Whether you're looking to cut, bulk, or maintain the author explains exactly what you need to do as far as training and diet. I have been following the program now for about four weeks and have progressed on a weekly basis pretty much exactly as the book describes. I have also reached out to Mike via email and he has responded as promised. I would certainly recommend this book for any natural weight lifter looking for great results relatively quickly.

I used to be quite overweight and over the years I've tried several different ways to lose weight and work out to build muscle. I ended up going on a calorie deficiency and boosted my activity level and lost the pounds. During this time I was always tired and felt like I barely had enough energy to make it through the day. I had read tons of info all over the internet and decided to start eating normal calories again with lean food, cutting out all the junk. I just recently came across the book Bigger Leaner Stronger this year, and I wish i had read it years ago so i could have been doing everything properly from the start! I am now strictly following the workout routines in the book and now on my third week I have noticed quite significant strength gains. I am very happy and feel more knowledgable about my body's health and how it functions. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who is thinking about bettering their lifestyle and getting in shape. Read "Bigger Leaner Stronger" and get the results you want by doing your bulking/building or cutting/sliming right the first time.  Dont waste your time spending hours in the gym working out wrong..

Good book, I'm definitely glad I bought it.  I enjoy the fact that Mike gets straight to the point.  The bottom line is that if you want to make progress, you're going to have to work hard.  However, that doesn't mean hours in the gym.  Most of the workouts he recommends are an hour or less.  The only drawback I see in his style, is that it's some pretty heavy lifting, so it may be difficult to do without a training partner.  I think his information is spot on though!

I picked up 'Bigger, Leaner, Stronger' on Barnes & Noble after coming across Mike Matthew's website. The fitness industry has made working out so complicated that many people wanting to get fit often get lost trying to find what works and what doesn't. BLS unscrews all of the ridiculous myths of working out and gets back to basics. Strong conventional wisdom with an honest approach to working out, as well as,  some great tips for getting to your goals. If you are new to lifting or like me have been at it for some time, there is wisdom to be found in Mike Matthews stripped down method. The book also simplifies diet and supplements, making this a great starter book, as well as, a 'get back on track' book for the seasoned lifter. I highly recommend 'Bigger, Leaner, Stronger' and have personally benefitted from his approach.James Pond

I purchased book after hearing the author on the Road to Ripped podcast.  Bigger, Leaner, Stronger is full of great material and doesn't waste any time with useless fluff.  If you consider all the material in the book, as well as what he provides in the bonus report, it is well worth the cost.  Out of all the fitness books I have read over the years, this one really laid everything out clearly without any confusion.  It has already shed so much light on what I have been doing wrong and I look forward to what the next year will bring.

One of the better books on diet and fitness In have ever read. The book is def geared toward a male audience particularly in there 20s-40s working out primarily for aesthetic physique. As a 20+ yr fitness enthusiast it's as solid as it gets.

This book is fantastic and easy to follow. Eat clean and train hard. Some of my favorite parts of the book are the warm ups. advice on supplementation and shortening my workouts from 2 hours down to 45-60 minutes. Working full-time, part-time college student and husband/father, there are not alot of hours in the day for me. This book really provides the guidelines on how to live a healthy lifestyle, no matter how busy you are. The best part of it all is that Mike is with you every step of the way. He provides his email for any questions you may have. I emailed him regarding postworkout nutrition and he gave me some excellent alternatives to what I am currently doing. Hands down the book is worth its weight in gold!

I have read lots of books and magazines about fitness, and health. This one by far breaks down the eating aspect and working out the best in my estimation. I am really looking forward to putting this all together and seeing results. I will repost after 8 weeks into it. I have started the diet and eating plan. So far so good on that aspect tried a few recipes and they were pretty tasty, check out his Shredded Chef book.

An excellent book that lays it down straight.  For me, I am fortunate in that money is no concern when it comes to training.  I have thus been able to hire the best personal trainers, the best supplements and a perfectly proportioned meals delivered to me.  Working out for the past three years straight, after following what is suggested in this book, I am finally seeing myself able to advance past the plateau I have been stuck at in years.  Muscle confusion, super sets, etc.. and everything seemed to not do much of anything for me. In few weeks, I have felt, seen and been able to lift more weight than I have in the past few year.   The consensus, all the money in the world can't buy the results that the advice Michael Matthews has provided for the cost of a couple of starbucks lattes and a few hours of your time.  A+++
