I love this CD. It's a great mix of rock and roll, pop-country, and what feels like southern influenced music. The renditions of "Bathroom Window" is fabulous, as is "Fancy", "Danny Boy" and "Take it with Me". I've admired Ms. Mullally's voice ever since I heard her with Matthew Broderick on the "How to Succeed In Business..." cast recording. This is an amazing album and I've had it in my player ever since I got it. I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoys good music.
I love Megan on everything she does and this just tops it off. She is such a talented woman and I respect her for all of her accomplishments. It's no surprise that she has blown my mind once again, good job!!!!
I absolutely hate country/folk type music but this album is something to hear! As someone familiar with Mullally's brassy Broadway voice I was expecting much of the same sound, but boy was I in for a pleasant surprise. Ms Mullally can change her vocal stylings from rock, to country, back to broadway again; and you can hear them all on this album! This kind of versatility is unheard of, I am now a very enthusiastic new fan of her's.
My new favorite CD. Amazing mix of styles.
Don't count her out as just an actress, brilliant as she is as "Karen" on Will and Grace. I have listened to her voice on Broadway Cast Recordings such as, "Grease" and "How to succeed in business without really trying" for a long time and play her vocals over and over again, just to hear her voice. NOW, with this wonderful album we can hear her over and over without any hassle! This music and her voice is nothing short of PERFECTION! And I don't throw around the "P-word" lightly!
This was my first Megan CD and first broadway CD that I've bought. I just got into watching her show on NBC and although I knew that she had a deeper voice, i just didn't know that her voice would sound this good! This is an amazing cd and my favorite songs are She Came in Through a Bathroom Window, Ode To Billie Joe, and Lament. She has such a wonderful voice and I recomend this CD to anyone!
