While in Ireland to bake a wedding cake for movie star Mary Joyce, Sedona meets Conn Brennan, an Irish rock star who refuses to fit into any of her tidy, concise boxes. Unable to deny the sizzling chemistry between them, Sedona rashly throws caution to the winds, forgetting that she's never, ever, been attracted to bad boys.
When Conn learns a dark family secret that has stayed buried for over thirty years, the revelation has him questioning nearly everything he's believed about his life. But the one thing that hasn't changed is his intense attraction to Sedona Sullivan, the blond American baker he hasn't been able to stop thinking about. The woman he's destined to spent the rest of his life with.
But first he must break through Sedona's formidable defenses and convince her that their romance is much more than a summer fling. And Sedona must decide where her heart truly belongs.
About the Author
While waiting for the Yankees management to call, she wrote her first novella-a tragic romance about two star-crossed mallard ducks-for a second grade writing assignment.
The paper earned a gold star. And JoAnn kept writing.
She's now written around one hundred novels (she quit keeping track long ago) and has been published in twenty-six countries. Two of her titles have been excerpted in Cosmopolitan magazine and her books have also been published by the Doubleday, Rhapsody, Literary Guild, and Mystery Guild book clubs. A member of the Romance Writers of America's Honor Roll of best-selling authors, she's won several awards, including career achievement awards in both category romance and contemporary single title.
Although the Yankees have yet to call her to New York to platoon center field, JoAnn figures making one out of two life goals isn't bad.
Currently writing her Shelter Bay series (set on the Oregon Coast, where her high school sweetheart proposed), her River's Bend series (set in Southern Oregon ranching country, where she grew up), her award-winning Irish Castlelough series, and a new, upcoming Orchid Island series, JoAnn lives with her husband and two rescued dogs, who pretty much rule the house, in the Pacific Northwest.

Excellent summer reading! I have read all of her books, and while her romantic suspense novels are my favorite I feel I know the characters and enjoy their interactions as well as the current plot. The author is not a "formula" writer so I enjoy being surprised by the conclusion. I also recently visited Ireland & this book triggered many happy memories!
Another good book by JoAnn Ross
Somewhere there is a boring story buried under all the sex.
